I won a game today where my opponent Bishoped a Colony.  I'll sometimes Bishop a Province, but rarely if ever consider Colonies.

The only time I'd ever trash a Colony with Bishop is in a Golden Deck/variant.  If the OP had been confused about that, I could sympathize more.  I've seen people Bishop Colonies late in the game and been quite perplexed.

I do enjoy Apprentice/Colony just for the hilarious 11 card draw, but it's more out of novelty.

In the isotropic discussion forum, there's a thread for IsoDom 3, but I think it's closed to new entries.  No other tournaments are running besides that and the DominionStrategy one. 

An official Dominion app is under production, poised to be released in the near future.  The date is unknown.  When it is released, Isotropic (and, I assume, other unofficial Dominion programs) will be taken down.

Just in terms of editing, the popups were somewhat distracting and I would stay away from them. It's one thing to have a clean list of key cards in the deck, but MTV-style text bubbles with explosion edges just looks amateurish. I'd strongly prefer a simpler, cleaner look.

Yeah, it seemed like a better idea while I was making it than watching it.  I've never used the things in other videos I've made; probably plain text when an annotation is needed works better.

It's slightly better played in the "Large Player" mode, but not as pretty as WanderingWinder's videos yet.

I thought I'd give this a shot, it looked like a lot of fun.  This was a very simple game against shura_k, but it did show a good case of Bishop being a "trap" against a faster strategy.  I appreciate any comments or criticisms, and yeah, I know my voice is a little weird. 

Boring quality/editing stuff:
Youtube screwed my quality a bit, looks a little like the video theory posted. :/  I have a good idea how to make this better if I record another (Crop out the sides from the start before adding my silly annotations.  I'd edit it now but it would be quite an undertaking for an experimental video)

I'm not a fan myself... I prefer playing with purely random sets.  I put up with it, though, cause I know some people don't like playing with certain cards or combinations of them.  My wife, in particular.

You can probably use Audacity to boost the volume of your post-commentary and remove the microphone "ambiance."  (Not sure if there's a Mac version if you're on one) 

Not sure what program you used to record, but the video quality wasn't the best (possibly due to Youtube, hard to tell).  You can probably get good mileage out of Livestream Procaster even if you aren't streaming (it's free).  The video recording software for it is surprisingly good.  I used to use virtualdub to edit videos after I recorded them.  It was free, but had a lot of quirks to get used to.  Adobe might be superior to it?  Camtasia is a great option if you have access to it, for both recording and editing.

One tip is if you cut out the chat box and whatever white space you can from the recording window, you can get more of the important stuff in the resolution.  This is especially important with Youtube, as it's pretty much going to reduce the quality of your video no matter what you do.

Other than that, I enjoyed the commentary; shows how much thought often goes in to a very basic game.

Although stuff like scheme/goons and kc/scheme is really great I can't really see it in the top 10.  Too often it just doesn't do enough to make a difference (or spends the whole game going back on top and rarely hitting the card you got it for), and it can be a bad card to have against discard attacks in my experience.  I also wonder if Swindler belongs as high as it is, but that could just be because it never works for me and always works for my opponents.  I think this list is OK for the most part, though, disagreements aside.

Yeah, Oracle has quickly become one of my favorites.  Its power just isn't evident at first because it seems dull at first glance.  I was bummed to see it so low on the list, but not too surprised.

I don't have much experience in multiplayer.  If everyone is playing Pirate Ship in a 4-player game, what ends up happening?  It seems like yes, you'd get tokens more consistently, but wouldn't everyone run out of money quickly, meaning fewer total tokens?  What's an average Pirate Ship worth in such a game, once everything has been trashed?

The table position tends to determine it in my experience.  First player to get a Pirate Ship gets most of the tokens then dominates (especially if he has + actions and can afford to steal any new money that shows up).  Some boards can fight it with Festival, bazaar, etc, but a lot of boards can't do so well.  It's the only card I ever veto on purpose (and only in 3+ player games)

Yeah Pirate Ship gets more dominant with each extra player, IMO.  It's pretty mediocre in 2 player games though.

BTW the more subscribers the channel has, the easier it'll be to get more people interested in it and probably Dominion videos in general.  I'd suggest anyone who plans to watch regularly / doesn't use their youtube subscription feature (so it won't bother you anyway) do this.

Colony games are probably going to get even rarer once the final expansions are out, since the default method of having them depends on the number of Prosperity cards.  I'm not sure how I feel about it, but a lot of my friends don't like playing with Colonies too much so it may be for the best.

You really think it happens pretty often?

How do they keep their rank at level one with this alternate account, considering that they are level 40 players? 

As an example, I created an alternate account to experiment with.  After 15-20 games it was up into the teens.  Within 50 games it was above 30, I think.  The system is pretty responsive to a chain of victories.

It happens to -me- pretty often (running in to a level 0/1 player who is clearly quite skilled)
