Hello again.

I am there also. Same username as here. Feel free to send a friend request and/or game invites if you remember me. Thanks Watno for reminding me this place exists!

Yep, that seems right to me. A couple of odd things happened in the game so it's not a "true" score, but we managed them the best we could. Didn't think it would be that close at the end, but I'm happy to come second with that score as I've now played three games of new TTA and scored 179, 179, and 179.

Good game all.

I am also interested in "coming out of retirement"* from F.DS to take part in new edition games of TTA once it's up on BGO. Not interested in PBF one bit I'm afraid.

*Not that I ever retired, I just lost interest in Dominion and then the TTA games dried up so I had no real reason left to come here.

I try all the new idle games as they pop up in "hot new games" on Kongregate but I don't think I've played any for more than about 2 days when I realise it's no different to any of the others and all I'm doing is spending my numbers to increase my numbers slightly faster. They're all fun in the beginning but as soon as you have to wait an hour before you can do anything new I lose interest.

The ones I have played for longer are the ones that actually have things to do other than making your numbers go up. A Dark Room and Candy Box (1 and 2) are pretty much the only ones I've found and enjoyed for any considerable period of time.

If anyone wants a PAL download code for the Super Smash Bros for 3DS demo, I have two available to offer. Note that I don't think they work on NSTC so you need to actually be PAL for it to work.

I'd almost forgotten I even own a 3DS. No idea where it is. I'm surprised how quick I went off digital games when I discovered boardgames but I've got almost zero interest in them any more.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes. I thought I was the only one who wanted to play any more and the withdrawal symptoms have been kicking in. I am so in.

Removing festival wristband

Quote
I heard about a method using an unfolded crisp packet using the silvery greasy side against your wrist it helps it slide off easily. Not 100% sure of the process but it I've been told it works.

If you just start tearing it off from the place you put it on, it wrips the paper in two the really thin way and eventually just comes off.  It's really easy.

Since TINAS is talking about using grease, I'm assuming the key thing is to slip the wristband off without wrecking it, so that you can slip it on again later (or let somebody else put it on).  The method you describe for simply removing the band is well known, and even if TINAS didn't know it he would surely just use scissors or a knife rather than resorting to some obscure grease technique.

The idea is to remove it intact to hang with my other wristbands next to my collage of concert ticket stubs. I don't intend to re-wear it but I don't want it damaged. Also, it's a proper fabric wristband, not a shitty paper one. Shitty paper ones go straight in the bin.

I just did a thing I read on the internet that wasn't labelled "lifehack" but probably should have been. It actually worked and didn't make me look like an idiot.

My hand does hurt, though.

Drew1023 as long as I make a game move every 5 minutes it will give you lots of time to reflect on what a pathetic ***** you are
Drew1023 how about this you are a pathetic piece of trash that spends all day playing an online card game
Drew1023 that's pretty sad
Drew1023 yeah and I am free to remark on just how sad and pathetic it is and that you are wasting limited resources of the earth existing in your sad and pathetic little life
Drew1023 if all you are doing with your pathetic little life is staying in your mommy's basement and playing an online card game than you are not contributing and simply deserve to not live. You are very lucky I don't know where you liv or I'd do the world a favor.

You would not believe how much I lol'd at this and then how disappointed I got when I realised it wasn't actually the Facebook stalking mission report.

Never heard of it. What are the mechanics like? Is it heavy/light/long/short? What components come in the box? Give me a reason to stop asking questions here and go and search for the game on BGG!

raerae and I have been living together for a year, and neither of us have killed each other yet!!

Pfft. You're nobody unless you have a Kills to Years-Living-Together ratio of at least 1:1.

Not sure if this was done already and didn't feel like searching through the thread (found on some random list of jokes):

An infinite number of Mathematicians walk into a bar.  The first orders a beer, the second orders half a beer, the third orders a quarter of a beer and so on.  After the seventh order the bartender pours two beers and says, "You feels out to know your limits."

Also:

What's the difference between an etymologist and an entomologist?

An etymologist knows the difference.

Liked the second one.

The first one, of course, appeared already in this forum, in the maths random stuff thread. It's the second joke in this video:

Bah, enough of that math stuff.  Here are some jokes.  And to make them funnier some British guy interrupts to explain them.

You're welcome!

EDIT: do warn me when I start becoming obnoxious :P

Well, I missed this when Peebles orginally posted it, so this is useful :)

The British guy explaining is great, especially when he explains the lame "seven ate nine" joke.

Except the British guy is still Australian.

The others were designed to make him feel dumb for purchasing an Iphone in the first place.

And quite rightly so.
