I don't have any particular interest in continuing (not that I have much to play for).

Just finished our first game of Less Pressure with a flawless scum victory. The next one should be starting soon - it's not too late to jump in for it!

Super cool....is there some way to set up an email or text notification for when the game starts?  If not, I'd recommend that!

Not currently, just the in-site notification. I'll look at providing that option at some point.

I won't be able to do much of this til the semester is over, unfortunately

No worries, although I'll probably delete the unused keys in a few days, so you (and others) can either create your account before then or ask for another key later.

While you're here joth, you should be aware that signups only last 24 unless you renew them - yours expired.

And while you are here you should join the game that has 4/5 people in it.

Also, P.S. It might be kinda cool to let people that are signed up for a game have a spot t talk to each other.  There ya go, un-asked-for suggestion achieved.

All suggestions are asked for.

I've been thinking about joining, but I want to give others a chance to. I got impatient and joined Mini Mafia #1, but that left joth without anyone to play with. I'll join tomorrow if no one has.

Your idea is not a bad one, but I'm not sure the best way to go about it. It wouldn't be the same as a 'pre-game' because people can still drop out etc. Also if there happens to be enough players to start more than one game, they'll be sorted by rating. So you won't always be sure exactly who will be in the game with you. There could be a thread for each setup devoted to players who are currently signed up, but I think it's just as easy for someone to create a thread in the Games section of the forum.

Custom games for sure will have a pre-game thread for people signed up, thinking about signing up etc. Maybe I'll do something for Rated games when I'm working on that.

I am by no means experienced, but I am interested in looking at this if that is acceptable.

You've played before, right? I haven't got around to putting together basic instructions on how to play or basic rules regarding civility, communication about ongoing games etc. As long as you don't need these things explained to you, you're fine. I'll send you a key.

Do four more friends want to join me in a mini-mafia game?

/in but this doesn't make us friends.

You can't sign yourself up for a setup you're already playing, but I signed you up. As it turns out, you can't actually drop out yourself, so let me know if you don't want to be in a second game at the same time. Anyone else currently playing, let me know if you'd like to play a second game of the same setup so we can get one going.

I notice all the setups on there currently are nightless. Does the platform support QTs and night action submissions yet?

If by QTs you mean private threads then yes, and in fact in Less Pressure Mafia have a Vengekill. I've got some Normal setups about 90% ready, but I'm waiting until we have a few Blitz games under our belts before starting on them.

Hello Mafia Friends!

I'm excited to announce a project I've been working on. LynchPool.com is a website which runs Forum Mafia automatically. It currently offers Less Pressure, as well as two smaller set ups which are really only for testing purposes, all with 48 hour deadlines. I intend to add more setups soon.

This is my first project of this kind and I'm definitely still learning, but I think it's ready for testing.

So if you're interested and are a regular or experienced player of Forum Mafia, please let me know and I'll send you a Beta Key.

But really the case for him lies on faust's reason

As per my above post, would you say the same about the others who responded similarly?

That is so adorable. FoS: LaLight, because having 2 votes is double the power!
What did I miss?

Are you the double voter MiX?

When I saw the 2 votes thing I assumed there was a claim I hadn't seen.
Yeah, that was my immediate assumption; and when I looked for it it wasn't there.  Hence my need for an explanation.  And if WestCoast hadn't popped in with the question "are you double voter?" I sure as heck would have.

When I saw the 2 votes thing I assumed there was a claim I hadn't seen.
Same here.

faust: Given all of the above, why did you (cherry?) pick my post? Could you not make the exact same argument of shraeye, WCD and Chicken?

The intent of my post was to support WCD in a situation that seemed a little sour. I agreed with her reaction to MiX and I disagreed with his reaction to her. I also agree that they seem likely to be both Town.

While Experiment, Magpie, Rats and Peddler have unique variants of their mechanics, I wouldn't say any of them have unique mechanics.

Well, it just goes back to the question of what constitutes a unique mechanic. Magpie and Rats, it's pretty easy to say that they're just twists on the old "gain X" mechanic. But the "Return to the Supply" bit of Experiment and Encampment, that seems like something new to me.

Ambassador returns to the supply. Madman and Wish return to non-supply piles.
