Rules Questions / Transmogrify Fortune

If I call Transmogrify and trash Fortune from hand, can I gain a Platinum? My take is I can gain a card costing up to 9 coins and 8 debt, and Platinum qualifies by costing 9 coins and 0 debt.

My wife trounced me using Replace + Shepherd. Essentially replacing her Coppers with Estates to give me Curses and drawing through the green with Shepherd. Nobles was another target for Replace in the kingdom.

I was thinking Devil's Workshop/Imp would synergize with a Gainer that removes itself from play like Feast. The gain helps you get Imps. Removing itself from play allows it to be played again if you manage to play more than one Imp. What do you think?

I like the variety of game play caused by the variable Kingdom setup. I often come out of a game thinking of a better strategy that may not even apply in the next game.

My biggest dislike is shuffling a lot.

I am not entirely sure why an article about Bandit needs to make fun of children dying of starvation...

I second that notion. Starving kids are not funny.

On the positive side, I think the trash for benefit section is helpful.

I have found one bug in the Victory Point counter for Silk Road. It shows how many points a single Silk Road is worth but does not multiply by the number of Silk Road cards you have.

What about a scaling warehouse variant? +1 card per token on the mat, +1 action, discard a card for each token on mat. That still needs something for the early game.

I think Oasis might be a better model here. How about:

Refuge
+1 Action
+ $1
+1 Card per token on the Trade Route mat
Discard one card per token on the Trade Route mat.
----------------------------------------------------------
Setup: Same as Trade Route
$3 Action

It's terrible at first. Becomes Oasis with one token. Becomes Warehouse with a coin after 3 tokens are on the mat.

Exchange House looks reasonable. You might want to change the gain to a card exactly $1 more than the trashed card unless you don't want the option of trashing Copper.

Another trade route principle seems to be giving some minor use of the early victory cards you pick up. Here is an idea for a village. Kind of Crossroads with less draw more actions.

Trade Village
Discard any number if Victory cards. +1 card per card discarded.
+1 action per token on the mat.
Setup: same as Trade Route
$4 Action

Here is a thematic idea. The invaders follow the trade route.

Invaders
+1 coin per token on mat
Each other player discards 1 card for each token on mat but not to less than 3 cards in hand.
$4 action attack

I'm intrigued by the draw up to version. I think it needs something to make it more useful in the early game. Perhaps trash a card from hand, draw up to 5+ the # of coins on mat?

I struggled with Poor House the one time I played with it. Thanks for showing this log. Doctor looks really helpful here to clear out Treasures. I wonder about vulnerability to Embassy buys by opponent to "attack" by gifting Silver.

I wonder if this concept would work as a nonterminal Action that moves the token to an Action supply pile of your choice. As written the token is very unlikely to be on the supply pile you prefer.

One thing that was annoying at first was organizing all of the tokens. We finally settled on ziploc snack size bags that can hold a Tavern Mat and associated tokens of same color.

Yikes! Now it's getting rather wordy. I liked the original simple attack better.
