Dominion: Renaissance Previews / Re: Fun or interesting combos with Capitalism

It seems like a pretty big deal for one of my favorite cards, Pirate Ship.
I now want a Communism promo.
I like how, based on previous cards, we can already get a general idea of what stuff will do. Improve looks like a Remodel variant, Inventor may be a gainer or Lab variant, Old Witch probably distributes curses, Research may be Lab-like, one of Horn or Lantern could be a deck inspector.
I can also predict an Age of Empires II joke in the meme thread, and maybe an 'unbridled Capitalism' joke.
I'm going to naively assume that coins are not an issue (since we can play a fairly large number of Treasures including Bank and Fortune), and Buys probably aren't either (given Travelling Fair). Like Awaclus, I would Counterfeit a Potion and and have my -$2 cost token on Golem but *not* play Quarry (so Golems cost $2P). I will also put my Trashing token on Stonemason. So I can get to 6:
* Buy 2 Squires, putting them on my deck (probably Travelling Fair).
* Buy 2 Blessed Villages, receiving The Sea's Gift twice (due to reshuffling the Boons) to draw the Squires.
* Buy 2 Stonemasons, overpaying $2P each to gain 4 Golems and trashing two Squires to gain two Familiars onto my deck.
* Buy 2 Cursed Villages, receiving Locusts both times (due to reshuffling the Hexes), trashing the two Familiars and gaining 2 Golems.
Total cost: $26 and 8 Buys. So Copper + Silver + Gold + Platinum + Counterfeit (Potion) + Bank + Fortune gives $34 and 3 Buys, we can buy Travelling Fair 4 times to make that $26 and 7 Buys so just throw a Royal Seal or something in there to make up the difference.
EDIT: With Stonemason on the board, you can get 4 and don't even need the Charm thing.
Are we allowed to leave the Buy phase, then come back into it? Because Villa + Pathfinding could enable some shenanigans.
EDIT: With Stonemason on the board, you can get 4 and don't even need the Charm thing.
City can get 6
In the trash are six Estates and one Copper.Actually, the answer is Pixie.
What is the card most likely to be present in the kingdom?
I have my own answer but there could always be a better one.
(However, the phrase "I'm set against that" means firm opposition, as far as I'm aware. Maybe someone has that at the back of their mind.)
Kingdom: Duchess, Lurker, Changeling, Market Square, Watchtower, Death Cart, Necromancer, Trader, Hunting Grounds; Ferry, Inheritance.
Setup: Ferry then Inheritance on Hunting Grounds. Gain Zombie Mason from the trash with Lurker.
Hand: Zombie Mason, Market Square, Market Square, Trader, Watchtower.
Top of deck: Hunting Grounds.
We have Trader in hand, so can exchange anything for a Changeling.
Play Zombie Mason, trashing Hunting Grounds.
Gain 3 Estates, exchanging two for Changelings and trashing the third with Watchtower.
Repeat this n times, where n is the size of the Estate pile. By default n=8 but it can be increased.
From trashing the final Estate-Hunting Grounds, gain a Duchy, exchanging it for a Changeling, gaining a Duchess, exchanging that for a Changeling.
React to the first Hunting Grounds trash with two Market Squares, gaining 2 Golds, exchanging them for Changelings.
Zombie Mason lets you gain a card: gain a Death Cart, exchanging it for a Changeling, and with it get two Ruins, exchanging those for Changelings.
Total Changelings is 2n + 7, so 23 if n=8.
The maximum value possible for n is 12+3*6 = 30, in a 6 player game with Ambassador and Lighthouse. Although we only have one Kingdom card slot left, we could replace Trader, Watchtower and Lurker with Black Market to allow both Ambassador and Lighthouse.
But it's outclassed by every other $3/$4 trasher, including Develop and Loan
What's so confusing about the Envy art? It's a fish-like creature inside a bottle being envious of the fish-like creatures that aren't inside a bottle. Exactly what the creature is is not the point, you don't have to focus on that.
I love how during the night phase, the interface asks, "What Night to play?"
Maybe that is short for "What M. Night Shyamalan movie to play?"
I think high fantasy could be a cool theme. Dominion is already a bit fantasy but most of the game is pretty grounded, except Nocturne from the looks of things. We really need a dragon card. Also something like temporum would be cool where we have a multiple timeline thing going on.
Please no. I'm fine with some minor fantasy with like Witch in the base game, or heavier but still appropriate like in Alchemy. But I don't want this to become another dumb fantasy game, or ditch the whole medieval theme to become time-wimey.
