I've mentioned this before, but there's Magpie and Stash. When Magpie causes a shuffle, guarantee that the reveal will hit a Treasure.

Catacombs is really funny with the -1 card token. Because of the wording of the card, if you choose the first three cards, you get them all. If you choose the next three cards, you only get two of them.

Okay, looks like I'm good to go.

Workin on it! I should know by tomorrow.

Hmm, are there still openings for this?

Yup, I just got kicked out the moment I drew my deck for the first time and played all my treasures. Pretty darn frustrating.

Wait, Summon is way better than that right?

Summon was in the UCon final, was used, but wasn't key, if I am remembering correctly?

And I played an IRL league match with AHoppy where Summon was a dud.

What I am going for is this:

  • I think Summon looks bonkers on paper and is only "good" in practice
  • We need it online because I'm going insane with virtually no data on these things
  • Something about heroin

Yeah but imagine opening with it

Can't you just picture it? A T2 Ambassador, Chapel, or Remake? Or at worst a guaranteed T3?

This isn't too hard, right? Well, some tricks need to be made.

Fool's Gold, Coin of the Realm, Black Market, Loan (Bane), Masterpiece, Philosopher's Stone, Quarry, Talisman, Contraband, Mint, Royal Seal

Colonies included obviously.

Black Market deck contains: Ambassador, Tournament, Young Witch, Venture, Horn of Plenty, Cache, Counterfeit, Ill-Gotten Gains, Relic, Treasure Trove, Stash, Harem, Hoard, Bank

So we have 60 Coppers (you opponent can pass you his via Ambassador), 40 Silvers, 30 Golds, 16 Potions, 12 Platina, 9*10 Kingdom Treasures, 11 Black Market Treasures, Diadem.

Overall 260 Treasures. (Sadly, there is no way to include Spoils)

Dang, I forgot you could have the Bane pile with YW in the BM deck. But yes, as others have stated, Mint should be in the BM deck, and Harem should be out of it, increasing the number by 2. That's 271 total.

Of course, if you have a three-player game and only one Ambassador, only one person can buy it. Fortunately, that same person can buy Masquerade from the BM deck and pass the Ambassador to the third player. Estates or Black Markets can be passed at the same time to avoid interrupting the stream of Treasures to you.

As to the Treasures in the Kingdom, my thought was to prioritize cards that help you gain. I had Masterpiece, Talisman, Contraband, Counterfeit, Horn, IGG, Treasure Trove, Harem, and Hoard

I was going to write this differently, then I realized this was a subforum and I should post it here.

How many cards can you trash with Mint?

Rule deviations:
  • You start with your deck in your hand every turn
  • There is no three-pile ending rule (to keep things slightly interesting, the game can still end by draining Provinces or Colonies).

Also, a slight bending of the spirit of the game: you need your opponentís help.

There is a best kingdom, and there is a max number. The kingdom is slightly arguable, but the max number is absolute (as in, I donít think itís possible to be topped). Post the kingdom and the number.

How'd they get that stone into that bottle though?
The Philosopher's Stone isn't a stone. It's a substance, typically imagined in powder form (as here).

Sounds like Harry Potter got it wrong then.
That was a Sorcerer's stone...

Only in America.

Because long words in the title would turn off the readers. Too much stuff to read, apparently.

Three syllables = fine
Four syllables = WHAT? WHAT IS THIS...WELL, SORCERY?

I really like the new platform. Really really. It's a little annoying that I can't just play it on other computers if I want, but I've been able to get around it. Seeking is great, one-page-kingdom is great, being able to bypass VP tokens to get Promo cards was fantastic. I even like how it shows you the empty piles when the game's over. The only problem I've had is that once, little cards just randomly appeared on the left side of the screen, covering my opponent's avatar. But that's so, so small.

So that leaves Courtyard, Secret Chamber Coppersmith, and Swindler.

I hope Courtyard is number 1, but I bet it will be Secret Chamber. Second guess, Coppersmith.

Pillage is the only card that lets you look at your opponents hand.

Well, and Cutpurse, but Pillage is a guaranteed look.

That said, so is Possession.

Ugh. I would take a vacation day off work for this if I weren't already taking a personal day off for a wedding.

thanks a lot adam, but i definitely don't feel qualified for something like this haha. only played IRL a couple times

just interesting to see the concessions you have to make for this to work

What? My plan would have been to lose immediately and stick around for the rest. I don't see the issue here.

Such a ruins should trash cards costing 3$+, like a Sea Hag you are done with.  That puts its power level and niche-asymmetry about on par with Ruined Market
That could work as well.

And it can ultimately trash Cultists in a pinch.

Overall, CafePress seems like a good bet.

Can't quite track down the jacket yet, but here's a lead to a T-shirt, etc. (which is what y'all were talking about anyway)

Now that the Dutch edition has been published, I'd like to play over Skype with someone. Anyone interested?

Right now, I'm free most of Saturday as well as Sunday. I'd play then.

I'm able to download and open it, but I can't sign in. And the taskbar doesn't jump right out when I linger my cursor at the bottom of the screen, so I have to do Ctrl Alt Del. It's unfortunate, but I still look forward to downloading a functional one.

I finally have Adventures, all my cards, AND somewhere to play this weekend. Is anyone free today before dinner, Saturday before 3pm, or Sunday before dinner? I don't yet know my schedule on Friday.

Oh, and once I get all my other cards down here, that's probably important.
