Does the Supersaint Jester trigger immediately, or “after” his lynch:
1T-1M-1J, Mafia hammers Jester.
A) Jester dies, scum control half, game ends before SS activates.
B) Jester dies, SS activates killing scum, town wins with Jester.
C) Jester is “lynched”, SS activates killing Mafia, game ends before lynch is finalized, town wins but not Jester.
Scenario above: Jester cannot lynch the town or scum without losing. He must himself be the lynch. So he refuses to vote either player. In scenario A Jester has already lost, so it doesn’t matter. In scenario B, neither scum nor town can hammer without losing. As scum wins by doing nothing, town has effectively lost. In scenario C, essentially the same as B. Both town and scum lose by hammering, but scum wins by doing nothing.
Assuming Scenario B, if all but one scum are dead, can the Jester claim to become the lynch (town doesn’t care if he wins/loses, and he’s not a town PR) but town forces the hammer on someone - effectively treating them like the lynch while Jester meets his wincon?
UE pushed us into a non-standard wording of Supersaint, it doesn't activate in Twilight it activates the following night. So Mafia and Jester would win, Town loses.
But TvSvJ LYLO is weird, Jester needs town to vote Jester, which is motivation to try to find and vote town. If Jester accidentally votes scum and town hammers, that's a town win. If Jester correctly votes Town and Town crossvotes, scum wins and kingmakes Jester or not, which is lame but I think that's the way it has to go. At least this is a pretty unlikely scenario. Also the plurality lynch rules make these weird LYLOs even weirder, need to ponder whether or not that's a problem. Fortunately it only matters in TvSv3 LYLO.
To get to TvSvJ, Jester has played somewhat poorly, Town has played poorly, scum has played well. I think I'm okay with the outcome the way it is.
