If someone goes 3-0 in the round robin, they should just win the event, right?

I'll work on decklists and get them to you by the end of the day, Ash.

I just discovered that if you have a redemption, a cult master, and other minions a mass removal spell still lets you draw cards off of cultmaster if it's the minion brought back.  I drew three cards I did not expect to draw.
Reminds me, if Mad Scientist dies to AOE with another minion and the Mad Scientist's deathrattle triggers first, the secret played, like Duplicate and I guess Redemption, can activate on a friendly minion killed by the AOE. I believe the deathrattles trigger in the order the minions were played.

So if a Pally has Mad Scientist and a pair of 3/2s, gets hit by Consecrate, and the Mad Sci pulls Avenge, does the second 3/2 get the +3/+2 from Avenge, or does it die first and the Avenge gets left behind?

I don't think the Avenge would trigger.  Avenge doesn't trigger if a player has two 3/2s and gets consecrated, so it wouldn't trigger here.

Flame Imp is often 3 self-damage for 1 mana.  At least Shadowbomber does 3 damage to your opponent as well.  The body doesn't matter because it doesn't do anything either way.
The 3/2 body is the whole reason that Flame Imp is a good card. That's why it has the 3 self-damage downside, and what made it be included over Leper Gnome in pre-Naxx zoo (back when having a deathrattle didn't matter).

I understand that a 3/2 body for 1 mana is the reason you run Flame Imp.

I'm saying that Flame Imp is usually "pay 1 mana, deal 3 damage to yourself, burn one card from your opponent's hand next turn."

Shadowbomber is "pay 1 mana, deal 3 damage to yourself AND your opponent, burn one card from your opponent's hand next turn."

In that sense, Shadowbomber is better.

But Shadowbomber is often enough "pay 1 mana, deal 3 damage to yourself AND your opponent, and die to your opponents hero power."  It doesn't trade for a card often enough to make it worthwhile for now.

Well, I wonder if at one point there are going to be enough cards to run suicide priest decks.  Shadowbomber and Mind Blast are both powerful cards in such a strategy... but we're clearly not there yet.  I don't know how far off we are.  Shadowform is also a powerful card... as is soulpriest/light of the naaru.  But it's just slower than minion based aggro decks at this point.

I go back and forth on Warlock in arena.  His hero power doesn't affect the board, but it does a decently good job of guaranteeing that if a game goes long, you have a good shot of winning.  The class also has four very good cards to guarantee survival in the early game (Flame Imp, Soulfire, Darkbomb, Shadow Bolt), as well as a good sweeper in Hellfire.  It has two solid late-game minons (Dread Infernal, Floating Watcher) once it gets to the late game.  I do agree that many of the class cards are weak... but you can put together a deck with a solid gameplan that does well vs mostly everything (hunter is still a struggle).  The deck is reliant on getting cheap minions, though.. flame imps and zombie chows are excellent, and it can sometimes be a struggle without them.

I like Warlock more than hunter for sure.  And I think that I would rather play warlock than rogue, but that may just be that I haven't figured out how to draft rogue properly (I sure haven't figured out how to play against it.. it's routinely the class that I lose games against that I'm baffled I lost).

Recombobulator would be far and away the best card in the game if it worked on opposing minions

Which means there will be a Legendary that does that just at some point.

Haha, well, it was Tinkmaster, then they decided tinkmaster was too good so nerfed it.

Oh, oops, didn't realize the friendly part.  Not relevant against undertaker other than being a 2 mana 3/2.

Sneed's Old Shredder has my vote as the best neutral legendary in GvG.

Why can't the animations be faster?

I just emptied my hand and played a Divine Favor against a Hunter with 2 cards in hand, just to find out that his secret triggered my Clockwork Gnome before my three mana vanilla cantrip resolved.  >:(

I've had issues with not realizing secrets trigger since gvg came out.  I'm not actually sure whether it's too slow, or it's just the fact that I'm used to the older, more quick, secret animation.

Unstable portal doesn't seem nerfworthy.. or playable.. to me.

A card doesn't even have to be strong to get nerfed. It just has to be part of something broken. Look at Frost Nova, for example.
Frost Nova decks weren't OP, they were just unfun to fight, according to Ben Brode.  Unstable portal has pretty good fun factor to it for both players involved.

I'm not sure I agree with the last part.  Unstable Portal seems like a frustrating card to play against.  I get that it's probably not overpowered, but getting beat by turn 3 Cairne or something doesn't seem particularly fun to me, especially when the card tells you, "Hey!  You only lost that game because your opponent got really lucky off of his Unstable Portal!"

To add to the thread here's my MechaMage deck (from memory). I don't have all the cards I want for this deck yet, but I'd appreciate some advice on how to improve it.

2 x Clockwork Gnome
1 x Arcane Missiles
2 x Frostbolt
2 x Annoy-o-Tron
1 x Explosive Sheep
1 x Snowchugger
2 x Harvest Golem
1 x Soot Spewer
2 x Tinkertown Technician
2 x Fireball
2 x Polymorph
2 x Goblin Blastmage
2 x Mechanical Yeti
2 x Water Elemental
1 x Antique Healbot
1 x Blizzard
1 x Cairne
1 x Gelbin Mekkatorque
1 x Archmage Antonidas
1 x Troggzor the Earthinator

Currently this deck has two main synergies:
1) Antonidas + Spare Parts is amazing. Usually gets 1 or 2 Fireballs out of it on the turn he's played.
2) Goblin Blastmage + Mechs is great.
Things I'd make room for are Unstable Portals, another Snowchugger, Spider Tanks and Piloted Shredder. Not sure exactly what to replace though. Water Elementals? Soot Spewer? Annoy-o-Tron? Gelbin (probably Gelbin)?

This deck is sort of in a weird place to me.  It looks like you have a lot of mech synergies.. but aren't all in on them.  Tinkertown Technician doesn't actually seem that strong in this deck.. You play him because you want a 4/4 for 3 mana, yet the only mechs you have that come down before him are Clockwork Gnome, Annoy-o-Tron, and 1 Snowchugger, and I don't think that 5 early mechs are enough to support Tinkertown (I'm not sure on this, since I haven't played much with mech cards yet.. but that's just my inclination).  I would look to either move more in a mech direction, playing the second snowchugger, and cards like micro machine and mechwarper, or don't play tinkertown.

That's a bummer, hopefully it will get changed for you.  Do you think they should just have a confirmation screen where it says, "You are buying 50 classic packs" or something like that?  The fact that so many people are making this mistake means that it's probably not a good enough system as is.

Is it possible to choose a large number of packs without repeatedly clicking?

Yes.  If you click in the leftmost icon, the 1 pack 100 gold icon, it'll give you the option to type in a number.

I have 1500 gold and 9500 dust.  I'm not yet sure what I want to craft.. I may just sit around for a week and play arena, and then figure out what the best players are playing and craft/open the cards I need.  I don't play enough constructed to realistically be competing for legend ranks anyway, so I am okay waiting to see what players who are better and play more than I do make, and create the deck out of those that looks like the most fun.

he actually trades into my cobra
:o "Trade Fel Reaver into Emperor Cobra" could be an insanity wolf meme.

Well, had he not, I would've actually played Vol'jin and doubled its health before I killed it.. so maybe it was for the best!

Oh man, I had the most insane game earlier involving Fel Reaver.  I'm playing as a priest against a mage at like 10 wins in Arena.

His turn 5, he has a 2/2 on board, and I have nothing.  He plays Fel Reaver.  I don't have a clean answer, but play Emperor Cobra, Shadow Word Pain his 2/2, and hope he doesn't have frostbolt.  He doesn't, and he actually trades into my cobra (He had already burned 6 cards, and I guess he didn't want to risk me playing 4 cards, or freezing the felreaver, or something along those lines.)

Fastforward 8 turns or so.  We're pretty far in the game, and I'm getting low on life, down to about 5 life after his attacks.  He had a board of a 6/3, a 4/5, a 5/3 (Or something along those lines, the specific minions don't matter).  He plays the last card in his hand, which is a second Fel Reaver! He has 6 cards left in his deck.  On my turn, I play Stormwind Knight, attack his 4/5, and play lightbomb, leaving him with no cards on board, no cards in hand, and no cards in deck.

My first time I played madder bomber, I had a 2/3 out, my opponent had two 2/4s and a 2/1 stealth out, and my madder bomber shot me twice, my 2/3 3 times, and my opponent once.

Did a very good mad bomber+ impression, hahahahaha.  I forsee much frustration due to that card.

Played Madder Bomber while opponent had three 1/1 imps, and I had blank board.

6 shots to my face.  Thanks.
My first piloted shredder deathrattle ever summoned... Ancient Watcher!  Hooray!

(I had a shadowflame in hand so it was actually fine!)

I was thinking of streaming my first ever GvG arena run, but it looks like everyone is busy doing arena runs of their own and I want a piece of the action. There's a chance the server gets flooded on the official expansion release day. I don't want to be stuck experiencing lag right when thr expansion comes out. Besides Arena is where I'll be putting my focus for awhile.

I would watch (while playing my own) !

Do you get GvG packs for prizes yet?

No, still the old ones.
