I wonder if there's a reason why it doesn't work like Rabble...

Each other player reveals cards from the top of his deck until he reveals a card that is not a Treasure or Action card. He puts it on top and discards the other revealed cards.

Worded this way, cards like Nobles and Harem would be discarded. A fortune teller doesn't always give bad news...

At the beginning of iso i'm sure there was very poor matchmaking. These sort of things take time to develop. I know it is on their list and it will come eventually. Personally i would like the cards implemented correctly first. I can wait for the matchmaking.

BGA has on their site that their Dominion will be removed now on September 14th. Makes me suspect a September 7th launch of Goko?.

Ugh, this was announced months in advance with 8/22 as the final day.
That you seem surprised and hopeful for an alternate reality seems remiss.

We would be hopeful because on another thread, DougZ said that Isotropic would stay up for a week after Goko was launched.

Make sure you use the username/password they originally emailed you when you get the pop-up box, not the one you registered with. Once you click Login later, then you use the info you registered.

This tripped me up too.

Is it possible for me to use the original username/password that was emailed to someone if they've chosen to not participate in the beta anymore? I'd like to get in there and see what Goko is all about.

Would someone be willing to give me theirs?

Or is this type of thing not recommended?

Will there ever be a pay to play option?  Like X per month or year.  I know people have said it but I prefer that (getting all cards) then always feeling like I am playing someone that only knows certain cards and has mastered them  And YES I have bought ALL physical copies (another reason I don't really wANT TO buy them again).

I moved over seas and would love to play with my parents (they introduced me and other friends but I know they aren't going to want to buy it all again)....Still sad about iso........plus it is weird it still seems all speculation and that scares me....I would think more would be know....

But thanks to everyone for everything!

How long do you intend to play Dominion online?  Let's say a monthly fee would be $10.  Reasonable, no?  But if you're intending on playing Dominion online for 9 months or more, then it would have been cheaper to just buy 2 expansions a month.

I would hope that the pay-to-play option would apply to all Goko games, not just Dominion. I might pay $10 per month to play everything that that they are going to offer eventually.

ok, so if I play mercenary and choose not to trash two cards (so my opponents don't have to discard) they still get to play a reaction card and get that benefit. Just want to be sure.

From the Mercenary FAQ in the rulebook:
Players responding to this attack with cards like Beggar must choose to do so before you decide whether or not to trash 2 cards from your hand

This seems a little backward to me, It seems that the attack (opponents discarding down to 3 cards) is dependent on whether you choose to trash two cards because it has that 'if you do' clause. If an opponent revealed their reaction card first and then you decided not to trash two cards, would they still get to take advantage of that reaction?

I think it would be dangerous to get too many Mercenaries in your deck. If you are not trashing 2 cards, then it's just taking up space. Useful when it is activated though.

Pretty sure I know the answer to this, but when Counterfeit is played and then Bank is played. The treasure that was played twice and then trashed does not count toward the Bank total because it is no longer in play right?

I think playing this expansion by itself would be the most fun way to play it, considering all the interactions. I wouldn't want to waste a Dark Ages card on a board where Smithy/Big Money is the obvious winner.

I feel a little underwhelmed, though.

Hell, I can leave my Estates, Colonies, Platinum, and Potions at home.

Estates will still be in the game, just not in your starting hand. Don't leave them behind just yet.

And can someone remind me what the Platinum/Colony rule is? I've never played it IRL.
