I do have one more point on Blade Runner that wasn't discussed, and that's the "romance" scene, which is basically sexual assault. I think that's important to note, as it seems glossed over by many fans. It doesn't take away from the historical relevance, nor do I think the new one (which I do intend to see when I have the time) is going to have it.

In prep for the new Blade Runner, I rewatched the old one. And well, the visuals hold up well. The rest of it? Not really. The plot very thin, Decker hardly has any character, and the theme of him feeling empathy for the replicants is undermined by the fact that after having sex with one, he then goes and murders a bunch of other replicants without a second thought.

I opened the druid quest. Time to lose some games. Also the new expansion looks like it could be fun but Im sure there will be some aggro deck that beats all the cool cards and it'll suck.

Baby Driver is pretty good. Not Edgar Wright's best movie, but it's fun, and well put together.

Personally I've found a lot of ghilbli movies feel like run on sentences to me. The world of Howl's moving castle is very rich, but all the way through Im still getting shown new characters that are not only important to the plot, but have a history with other characters I already know. I makes it seem like the movie never really knows which story it wants to tell, and doesn't know which sections to cut out and put into another story about the same world. Many people aren't bothered by that, and they feel it's just a detailed world. But I do agree that ghibli movies still have their own pace and style.

I don't like Disney either. But that's not really related to liking ghibli movies or not.

My quest Rogue opponent had 2 Novice Engineers, 2 Shadowsteps and a Preparation by turn 4.

How do you beat quest rogue besides them just drawing bad? Like Ive had a number of games like that, and it just seems like you can't beat it.

I had that happen once in GvG. I got two Foe Reapers in 1 pack. Never happened since.

Odds of getting 2 legendaries should be very, very low but getting the same 2 legendaries seems vanishingly small. I mean, all 5 cards being the same Golden legendary I suppose has the lowest possible odds of occurring which would make the odds of the same 2 regular legendaries look positively common.

Ive got double legend a few times since open beta (3 years. wow) But yeah its really low.

Achieved all 9 golden portraits. All that's left is to get the legendary card back and collect the entire classic set and then I will have learned Hearthstone.

Nice.

I just got my 5th gold portrait. Next one is around 375. But I play only on occasion now, so it'll be a while for the next one. I already got the legend card back.
I'm sure you'd have gotten there a long ways back if Arena counted towards them.
I am really looking forward to playing with whatever hero I want without thinking about the ones not finished which really starts limiting the diversity of play towards the end.

Oh for sure I'd have them all if arena counted. I play mostly arena when I do play now, and with those thousands of wins I'd probably have at least 2 more (one is hunter which I didnt play much for the longest time in arena). Also I miscounted. I have 6 golden portraits.

I've been experimenting with Sunfury Protector and Lance Carrier in my Dragon Priest deck that got to Rank 5 this season.

The Sunfury Protector helps give additional value to big drops and those buffed by Kabal Talonpriest so that they can't by simply bypassed. The Lance Carrier though, my thinking is that Standard Priest has been hurting for Velen's Chosen up until now. I think Priest wouldn't have been struggling so much post-Standard if they could turn even their smallest 1/2 and 1/3 bodies (i.e. Museum Curator, Northshire Cleric, Netherspite Historian) into sizable threats that can actually trade into stuff if ignored. Dragon Priest minions have been getting sturdy enough that a poor substitute for Velen's Chosen in the form of Lance Carrier can still be handy in a variety of situations as added reach that also plays to Priest's strength of keeping stuff alive. It works with Brann too.

Why not just run abusive? It combo's with brann too, is half the mana, and sure the buff doesn't stay, but if you're not buffing hp it'll probably have the same effect, and the 1 less hp won't matter much vs aggro.

On their own merits, the arena changes are probably good, and should help make arena feel less stale.

I just think it's too little too late. I've already stopped playing Hearthstone, and these arena changes are not really big enough to convince me to give it another try. It feels like Blizzard is trying really hard to avoid adding more depth to the format, because they're afraid of scaring off casual players, but that's going to drive away experienced players, even the casual ones.

Yeah, they really want the casual players, but they picked a game so similar to Magic: The Gathering that its hard to keep it simple without it being boring and stale. I have some hope for arena, but ranked will be boring probably for a very long time, maybe always. The Overwatch team is just much better at making games, and it shows. OW is a way better designed game, and the dev team are much more open with the players, instead of Ben Brode coming out and saying "Oh but these cards are so cool! Its cool man!".

Really not happy to see neutral legendaries going to Wild, especially Sylvanas.

Edit: Just got on about the dust part. That definitely takes the sting out mostly.

Yes, the time has finally come for me to craft Ragnaros.

It honestly a good thing. Im surprised Alextraza isn't being put into Wild. But Ice lance, coneal (1 mana spells that can give you tons of damage in 1 turn) going are a really good thing. And the nerfs on 1 mana 3/2 and Spirit Claws are also good.

(Tavern Brawl where you choose a class and it gives you a level boss from the adventures to play as corresponding to the class you chose.)
The boss you get to play when you chose hunter (the skeletal dinosaur) is sooo fun to play.
Oh damn, didn't think about Skeletal Dinosaur (super pain in the ass boss in Heroic though).

I won with Paladin, who gives you the Chess Boss with a  piece discover hero power. It's kinda funny to see the Chess mechanic up against a more conventional deck.

The chess pieces are pretty ridiculous. It loses to the evolve lady, but it beats normal deck pretty fast in my experience.

Why do people care about the Academy Awards?

Because their lives are so empty they desperately need something to attach to.

I think the point is that this makes it obvious that the Academy awards are kind of a sham. But you know, we're also shallow people.

It's bad game design to build the decks for your playerbase in a ccg

I mean, upon creating cards, just making random cards and hoping they work is not good design. The devs need to have an idea of what decks are possible, and need to test them before releasing cards. This with HS is that they want to keep it simple, so they make cards that just obviously fit all together to make a deck, instead of having complex cards that the players need to figure out.

Just kidding, running a grime street taunt thing I'm refining.

I salute you on your endeavors sir. I've played since launch, and I just don't have the patience for all that. I enjoy mostly Arena because I like the variance... But I'll still dabble in constructed each season. But 500  wins wins with each class? Whew. Exhausts me to think about it.

I got 5 gold heros, but that was when I was playing lots of funny decks all the time. Now I don't have the pateience either. But they'll get there some day. Paladin is at 350ish

Playing specific card keywords is not fun. Just put all enrage cards into a deck and play casual. I get it for new players its a thing to inspire new types of decks....but the cards aren't there! If there were good cards of each keyword, then maybe the quests would encourage diversity in decks. Right now they just encourage brain dead auto fill decks.

Does anything beat Dreadstead? Silence, but otherwise, voidcaller puts it in taunt spot and you you cant get by with minions.

So they're remaking Death Race 2000. It'll be named Death Race 2050. For some reason I am actually thrilled about this.

Now I feel like I need to watch the original again just for all its cheese. C'mon, one of Sylvester Stallone's earliest roles.

Oh, and the remake has Malcom Macdowell. That usually piques my interest.

Hopefully it'll be better than the crappy Jason Statham remakes.

The deck looks aggro with not enough early game. You have one 2 drop that can be played safely (dire wolf is not great). Yeah Rogue hero power is ok turn 2, but having a 2 drop is way stronger. But the big drops are great for aggro, Tiger, Xaril, Dragon Hawk.

I've been playing a bunch of Theft Rogue, and it's very fun. Results are basically 50% winrate, but there is something satisfying about stealing tons of warlock cards, and renouncing darkness into hunter cards and actually getting decet beast synergy with those cards. All this at a 2 mana discount too.
