I'm pretty sure that you shouldn't be using singular/plural verbs based on the word "each", but based on whatever happens to be the subject of the sentence. In many cases, the "each" is a part of the subject (such as "Each expansion contains..."), but here, the subject is "The Base game and Intrigue", which is a plural subject, so it should be correct to use the plural verb too.

I changed my signature in a way the broken link is gone. If there is no other way to to remove that vid from the signature of past messages

I feel like the person is saying "I'm only here to win, If I'm loosing, this game is a waste of my time".

I feel like the person is probably saying something more like "I'm only here to play, if the game is already decided, it's a waste of my time".


I always resign as soon as I realize that I'm losing with pretty high certainty. For example when the opponent plays all of his Treasures and I see that he now has enough dollars to end the game on that turn. I also appreciate it when my opponents do the same.

Correct. It's quite confusing interaction since you use the on-trash effect on Estate while at the same time utilizing that it is actually no longer there.

I don't think this works. Quarry lowers the cost of your Estates as well, they are Actions.

They're not your Estates, they're in the trash.

I was thinking along the same line, but I would have thought the estate-you-inherited also goes down in coin cost, because it's an action card at that point.

It's a when-trash ability, so it happens after you've trashed the Estate. At that point, it's no longer your Estate, so it's just a regular Estate.

I play Ironmorger and it seems it's no better than Ruined Village! It doesn't draw me a card and doesn't reveal a card either! How's that possible if my deck is sloggy and consists of many cards and I didn't draw anything in this turn yet?

You have the -1 card token and you're affected by Enchantress.

Quick thought to interject: How often is a pure BM strategy better than something you can't really call an engine because it's inconsistent but has a lot of good stuff in it? Imagine like a board with Ironmonger, Ironworks, and Smithy but no Village, trashing, or Buy.

Probably a pure engine board as long as there is any payload. If not, I'd go for pure BM with a bunch of Ironmongers and maybe one Smithy.

Ocarina of Time is vastly overrated. I've played Twilight Princess, and that is basically what OoT is, except OoT was worse (for being a predecessor, less ideas, mechanics, etc). It was an innovative game for its time, but come on, let's not kid ourselves, it's not that fantastic of a game today.

I don't play enough Fool's Gold / Thief games, but I play plenty of Apothecary, Scrying Pool, Herald, or Mystic games where I can afford to gain a nonterminal 4.

You shouldn't buy Scout just because Apothecary, Scrying Pool, Herald or Mystic is in the game and you can afford to gain a nonterminal 4. You need to be able to utilize the fact that it's a non-terminal Action that costs $4 and is named Scout somehow, you need to be able to utilize the deck reordering somehow, you need to be able to utilize the Victory card drawing somehow and you need to be able to gain it for entirely free (i.e. the only other alternative would be nothing at all), and then it's just a super little bit better than nothing. If the only thing it's doing for your deck is helping your Mystics, you should trash any Scouts that you have gotten somehow.

I disagree. Scout hurts your deck, thief hurts your deck AND helps your opponent

You can't compare bad cards as though you always had them in your deck, because most of the time you don't. Instead, you should consider how good they are in your deck in the rare situation where you actually want the card, and how often you have that situation. Thief wins on both of those.
