Goko Dominion Online / Ideas for Goko to be better
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:38:31 am »
I dunno if any goko staff browse here but if so check this out!

  • One idea from asobrain.com (Catan emulator) is to rate people based on speed, you can see people's quickness before you start your game, if you're gonna multitask while playing go ahead & choose "very slow" players, if you want to bang out a few games in a hurry before you gotta get to work or pick up the kid choose "very fast" partners.  Right now there are some verrrry slow players on there & no way to boot them for lagging (eventually they are booted but it ends the game which ruins it for the remaining players)
  • Option to Resign (afaik, when you "abandon game" as it stands now you ruin the game for everyone & it immediately ends)
  • Better rating system (as a chess player I think an ELO system is just fine though isotropic's systems also seemed fine)
  • Black Market baby!  If Iso can implement a paysite should be able to!
  • Two of the same card, don't ask us to put them back in "any order", they're the same card @$$h013!! (again if iso can handle this you can)
  • More avatars & ability to custom create your own.  The selection is awful
  • Stats, stats & more stats, all gamers like stats, Iso & councilroom realized this, I don't think goko does yet
  • Chat window on side now a pop-out (nobody likes pop-outs)
  • Remember/offer to auto-fill game names so I don't have to type out "Base, Corny & Hinty" each time.  So far the ability to name your own game you're starting is the only thing I like more about Goko than Iso, please improve upon it futher!!
  • Option to put GameLog on the side (though I think, like on Iso it should be limited to just the last couple turns so people don't use it to "cheat" (you wouldn't have access to a gamelog of the last 20 turns in real life) but just to see what they missed while they were scanning porn in the background while waiting for their turn

Please add your own.

Also, what's up with the coins?  Even when I lose I get some?  Are they useful in anyway?  Anyone want to buy mine?  8)

I agree 100%.  Loading bars give a bad vibe.  Especially when they fill up & nothing happens.  Kind of makes you want to punch the computer.  I'd rather just pay for Isotropic honestly.  I think Donald X should just keep both sites & charge for both but I know that'll never happen.

By the way, it wasn't that I couldn't figure out how to run it smart guy, it simply wasn't loading, the bar would fill & the page would not load.  Now it is working, not sure why it wasn't before.

Well, the first post is about how Goko sucks because you can't figure out how to get it to run.  Less than half an hour later you get it to run, and apparently don't even know the basics of its interface.  I don't see how you can reasonably say that the website sucks when you are so inexperienced with it.  You even admit that you didn't like the isotropic interface at first either, but that as you gained experience with it you accepted it.  What was the purpose of that first post?

Then the next post, by a different user, appears to be agreeing with you on a point you never made.

And then two posts later I'm misquoted.
Well we can't all be masters of contribution like yourself.  ::)

Neither of these two posts make any sense.
What don't you understand.

Anyway, I got Goko to work but I don't like it's style at all.

Also, how can I tell how many cards are left in my deck on there?

Goko Dominion Online / I'll miss Isotropic!

Man the new Goko site sucks, I can't even get the tutorial to load properly.

At first I didn't like the Isotropic interface but it grew on me & now I'm very fond of it.

Anyone else having problems even getting GokoDominion to run?

Anyone else going into pre-emptive mourning over isotropic?

Dominion Isotropic / Win/Loss Stats?
« on: October 25, 2012, 12:35:00 am »
Anyway you can see your win/loss stats on iso?

Also, does how much you win or lose by matter in terms of your rating?

Is being 2nd better than being last or only winning matters?

Thanks & sorry if my noobish questions has been asked & answered before.
