Quantum is a game which uses dice for all sorts of purposes: Marking a space ship class, setting a space ship's speed and strength, resolve combats, being moved around as a meeple, counters for diferent player statuses. Tactical game in which my 12yo beats me consistently.

At the risk of making possibly the most off-topic post in this thread, really?!

Sounds fair enough to me, as the perceived victim knows that asking to stop will be effective, and should in most cases evoke a direct apology.

Since we've gone three rounds (with a substitution), we could shake up the teams a bit. I ran our names through a randomizer and came up with these teams:

Red:
gkrieg13
rspeer
ashersky

Blue:
egork
ipofanes
Kuildeous

Then I'd propose that the first teammate be spymaster and cycle through those. Any concerns?

Following this suggestion, rspeer and me are the next spymasters. I'll randomize something.

I noticed that only some time after posting clue. When 3 remaining words were cast, castle and degree my plan was to hint Perlmutter: 3. What do you think about that?

I would have failed all three of them. I googled and saw that the word is not used in English as mother of pearl, but that there is an author of that name who is on the low-carb bandwagon. So I'd have gone for BREAD and BEER as high-carb supplies and maybe DEGREE because, well, that guy is a medical doctor. With "Hogwarts 3", I might have guessed at least two of the three words.

In this case, according to the rules you may say "draught infinity" to indicate you are not actually thinking of six associations but rather want to say "off you go".

To my mind EgorK's clue was just about what I'd call legal, as the wording of the solution was selected to contain letters of the words in the clue.

But I generally can get along with different styles of playing.

The more you learn ... I was unaware of the meaning of litter as a stretcher. Looking up litter in the dictionary I see German translations which I didn't know exist as a word, such as Förnahorizont.

I'm seeing CHARGE as a possible synonym for Sparkers, which was a theme, but I'm not sold on that either.

CHARGE has wonderfully many connotations, such as electricity, responsibility, billing, ambush, that I as a spymaster would not waste it on that weak an association.

The following is in spoilers as to not affect egork's moves too much:

If he gives us a 2 next time (and red has not more than 3 left) I'm in favour of a Hail Mary for CAST to clear the last one.
