What is the deal with promos? Are they a money-making venture? Break even? Donation to BGG?
Dock head.Who came up with the name that basically says 'you may play an asshole'?
I don't think there's another word for 'ice hole' in English.
We as a community are like family waiting outside for a new child to be born,
I mean parents are pretty handsome, all the previous children were great,
this one is so sudden though
Now that was an entertaining thread!I could be equally hyperbolic by saying that the rules don't permit you to talk, breath, or remember things at all. While rulebooks are permissive in theory, there are always unwritten assumptions which is why sometimes rulebooks must explicitly state restrictive rules (such as a "no talking" rule used in various games where in all other cases it is assumed players are permitted to talk even if the rules don't say that).Incorrecto. This has been discussed at length already, so: http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=876.msg13546#msg13546
I doubt Donald would say that notetaking is allowed -- based off the rule that you can't look through your discard pile even -- but to claim that an act as innocent as notetaking is cheating cannot be justified by it's lack of inclusion in the rules.
Just booked a flight to the Eiffel Tower. Thanks for the heads up!I keep learning what landmarks are from things like these. More pleaseI hope there won't be blanks. Those could just be events or landmarks instead.
I hope there won't be people complaining about blanks, as if good Events and Landmarks took zero time to create and test.
Jay said over on boardgamegeek that Landmarks weren't Kingdom cards. I'm just going with Watno's assumption that they're like Events. Seems plausible.
It's obvious that Landmarks aren't physical cards at all. They are real world places that you may visit to collect special powers via an app. At last, augmented reality is coming to Dominion gameplay!
I too, an thinking about going to pocket pages if I could find one that held thick sleeves.Binders with pocket pages, man. Very compact.
I've seen storage solutions like this that I really like. I have never seen pocket pages that will accommodate sleeved cards, though.Interestingly, Adam doesn't seem to hate them, so I guess the order won't be random.
I have not disclosed my hatred or lack thereof for any of the cards or other things in this set. I should also say that I think I'm going to start carrying Knights in my IRL box and just make sure Dame Anna is always on the bottom of the pile. Someone suggested this to me and I think I like it. Read into this what you would like. I'll be very amused at the conclusions you can come up with.
