Good morning...
Well, bad news. I went back through my previous turns and noticed that in Turn 4 I drew the wrong cards (didn't count the offset properly...). So I played Squire + 4 Coppers, but my hand should have been Hovel + 4 Coppers. And because of using the Squire, I gained a Silver and bought a Governor both before my reshuffle... which I wouldn't have been able to do with the Hovel. I think that puts me in a significantly better position that I should be in.
To make matters worse, I did it again in Turn 5. I played Ruined Library + Hovel + 3 Coppers... Ruined Library drew a Silver... which allowed me to buy a Ghost Ship. However... when I went through that turn this morning, I realized I should have drawn Necropolis in place of the Ruined Library. That, of course, would have left me with a 3-coin buy... which can't buy a Ghost Ship. That's pretty huge.
Then in Turn 6, I forgot to put my Governor in my deck, so I played the hand Wandering Minstrel, Squire, Copper, Silver, Trading Post... when I should have had WM, Copper, Governor, Silver, Trading Post. When I played the Wandering Minstrel, I should have had 3 cards on top of my deck, but played it as only 2 (2 coppers, reshuffled, then drew a 3rd copper). So that Governor just went missing.
Here in Turn 7 I was looking at my deck, only noticed 1 Governor, and remembered getting 2. That's why I went back through all my turns (with a spreadsheet) and figured out the above errors.
Sorry for making these mistakes. Last night I had my baby on my lap, which made it a bit tough.
Let me know how you want to handle this. We could play on from here (I'll just put the "missing Governor" in my discard pile). Or we could rewind back to my 4th turn where I made the first error. Or you can call me cheater and claim a victory.
I do think that going forward we should (a) record the turn number at the beginning of our turn, (b) put our hand in spoiler-black at the start of each turn and (c) cards on top of deck in spoiler-black... like from Wandering Minstrel and Ghost Ship.
