You shouldn't resign if you think your opponent might be playing on mobile on EU!  Who knows what will happen?

Why is everyone running Flame Juggler all of a sudden?  Did I miss a memo somewhere?

Flame Juggler first appeared in Aggro Shaman after LoE came out.  Shaman has less burn than Hunter, so Aggro Shaman needs to keep the board longer than Face Hunter and the higher health Flame Jugger is better than Knife Juggler for that plan.  It turns out that Flame Juggler is actually just good, so it's become a reasonable choice of 2-drop for a lot of decks (against a very weak field).

Woah, I just got a 2-pack Arena reward on a 7-win run. What are the odds!?

I don't know, but they're better than they were.  The change was made at the same time they went back to the first pack being from the latest expansion in the WotOG patch.  The second pack is a random standard pack.

I played the Tempo Mage yesterday against a streamer yesterday and learnt something about Yogg, which I'll spoilerify for the unlikely event you want to watch it.  If Sylvanas steals Yogg then he starts casting spells for the opponent!

This expansion has been spectacular for me.  I've had more fun playing standard in the past few days than I've had in a long time.

This. Countdown to a handful of dominant decks seizing the meta and staleness returning?

I'm hopeful that we might see more variety, just because there are lots of slots that don't have stand out best choices for all decks.  With Shredder gone for example a Mage 4-drop might reasonably be Violet Teacher or Water Elemental, and there'll be a lot of skill in deciding which to play.

I've played a little bit of Zoo with success, but I don't particularly like Kripp's list.  Mortal Coil and Cult Master don't fit, as you're not short of ways to push damage or card draw.  Volcanic Drake dies much too easily, and Sea Giant is already taking advantage of cases when you have a large board.  I don't like Horserider either, and am not sure about the Egg.

I've had a lot of success with Tempo Mage.  I'm playing this minus one MC for Sylvanas, and with Arcane Explosion on a stick in place of Forbidden Flame because I don't have it, though I'm not happy with that sub.  Faceless Summoner is amazing, and MC is surprisingly good, although it might not be in the best version of the list.  The 3/2 with spell damage makes Arcane Blast incredibly consistent.

I put N'Zoth in a wild Secret Paladin and never played him in about 10 games. :(

Did anyone else not get beckoner of evil? The 2 mana 2/3 C'Thun card. Where do I get it? I got C'Thun.

All I have is playful sprites blocking my login attempts.

Hah, on EU we don't get playful sprites until tomorrow morning!

This card is terrible, but it'll give people some hilarious Hail Mary options. On an even board you're as likely to kill yourself as your opponent.

Not exactly as likely.  As markusin pointed out there are lots of spells that are almost always good for the caster.

Came across this after some related Quora discussion:

http://www.maa.org/external_archive/devlin/devlin_06_08.html

I have big issues with this rant.... The basic claim is that multiplication is not defined through addition.

Someone call up all the computer engineers out there and tell them they've been building circuit chips wrong all this time.

I think that's a slight mischaracterisation of Devlin's position.  He's saying that, however it's defined, repeated addition is not what multiplication is.  This is an incredibly common pattern in mathematics.  You can define the natural numbers as {}, {{}}, {{},{{}}}, ... and the ordered pair (a,b) is {{a},{a,b}} and an integer as an equivalence class of ordered pairs of naturals, and a rational as an equivalence class of ordered pairs of integers, and a real as an equivalence class of Cauchy sequences (whatever they are) of rationals ... but that's not what a real number is.

A function from X to Y "is" a set of ordered pairs such that every x in X appears in exactly one pair (x,y) with y in Y.  But that's not how you think about a function, or how you interpret an occurrence of f(x).  A graph "is" a pair (V,E) where V is a set of vertices and E a set of 2-subsets of V, but you're not going to think in those terms if I ask you to draw a K_4 in the plane.  Mathematical objects have their own existence, and when we think about them we think about them in terms of properties they have.  The concrete definitions can convince somebody that a structure exists, but when you get to work with it you can throw away the scaffolding.  For multiplication the rules are that 0.x = 0, 1.x = x, x.y = y.x and (x+y).z = x.y + x.z.  These contain the inductive definition of multiplication on the naturals, but once you've checked that everything makes sense those particular cases are no longer all that special.

Any non-USians had success using Amazon Coins to squeeze out marginal discounts on packs?  I'm going to find an android emulator and give it a go for the preorder, but success stories always help.

So I got this working in the end.  It's a little bit involved: setting up an Android emulator if you don't have a phone/tablet, linking an Amazon account, acquiring coins, waiting several hours for the purchase to filter through to the HS client...  But I did preorder WotOG for about £27, down from £35.  I do now have £20 worth of coins lying around until the next expansion hits, but I used an old Amazon gift card anyway, so I'm no worse off than I was before.

The discount comes in two parts: a 10% discount when you purchase coins, then a coin rebate when you buy the packs.  The 10% should always be available.  The rebate might not be around all the time, but it will tell you before you have to click the final confirmation, so check before buying the coins.

He's beastly in Arena. As far as I remember, all cards are accessible in Arena.

That will be how it works, with the exception that C'thun synergy cards will not be draftable.

On Blizzard rules I would expect it to duplicate each minion Faceless style, then set their stats to 1/1.

If you copy one effect you've got a higher curve Unearthed Raptor.  If you get two or more it starts to get good, which makes it a lot like Quartermaster.  Quartermaster synergises with the Paladin hero power though, which makes the floor of the effect much higher.  I expect it will be tough to get consistent value out of this new card.

Is that soulpriest a 3/2?  I can't really make it out.  I have a solution if it has 3+ health, but haven't found one if it's a 3/2.

Yes, a 3/2.  The other one I found potentiall tricky was the 2/12 Snapjaw.

Sounds pretty great for new players.
Hopefully it actually suggests like Loot Hoarder as Thalnos replacement and not Amani.

Heh, it could almost get away with suggesting the Haunted Creeper staple if hypothetically Creeper was Standard legal. I should at least offer like Kobold or some other draw or spell power card/minion.

Or even always suggest Earthen Ring Farseer as a sub for absolutely any card in Rogue, which is a very good approximation of what top Rogue players will do when asked.

And I forgot I'd be losing Fang.  We will see if anything can replace it.  Malorne is a beast, but blech.

I got as far as making and testing a Standard-legal Beast combo list before realising that with no Druid of the Fang the beast synergy becomes essentially invisible, and you have no upside over a standard Midrange list.

To the previous suggestions I'll add that you should consider running both Savage Roars, even if you don't want the second full combo.

Yesterday I was watching somebody learning Oil Rogue, and they were greatly frustrated by not being able to predict the offbeat decks they were playing against.  I thought I'd give it a try in sympathy, and in my first ever game a Priest hit me in the face for 20 with a Deathlord on T5.

At what rank are you trying this deck? At low ranks decks are unpredictable. It's a lot more diverse, but at the same time it may not be the best way to learn to play a deck. It is a good way to learn how to predict decks though :P

It's season reset, so it doesn't make much difference, but it was rank 15.  What you say is exactly why the stream was so funny, as the poor guy just wanted to practice for tournaments and he kept losing to random nonsense like Mountain Giant Zoo.
