I was just thinking this morning that there would probably be another cantrip trasher in this expansion! It seemed like Dominion needed one besides Upgrade. Oh Rats!

Lookout is a cantrip trasher. Well, as much as Upgrade is anyways. They both leave you with an action and a 4 card hand after you play them.

Not really, you don't get to replace a bad card in your hand with a random card.  Your deck velocity is lower with lookout.

I don't understand the Oasis hate.  Its value is dependent on the board, just like most cards.

If you want to build an engine where money would clog your deck, Oasis can be a godsend.  It lets you keep your deck cycling a bit while still giving you enough money to buy engine parts.

If your deck is full of crap, Oasis can be good, but I don't think this is the best scenario.  Yes, you can discard crap, but you may also draw crap.

If it's more of a BM-leaning game, silver might be preferable.

Game Reports / Ambassador & Loan+Tunnel

Interesting strat.  Opened double Ambassador, bought loan and tunnel on turns 3 and 4, quickly got rid of all my junk while my loan started generating golds by discarding tunnel.  At one point had 10 golds, 3 provs and like 4 other cards.

Great post.

To the engine section, I would add something like this

-------------

If there is strong trashing available and you plan on building an engine, you should classify what kind of engine you're building.  There are two main types.

1. An engine that will start acquiring provinces 3-4+ turns before the end, will likely acquire no more than 1 province per turn, and will win essentially by getting four provinces before your opponent

2. An engine designed to get one mega turn.  If a mega turn cannot get a minimum of 3 provinces, it is probably not worth doing.  You must evaluate whether you can get your mega turn set up before it is too late.
