FWIW the blacklist button also reports the player.
It's true, but half of the people I blacklist aren't because they are rude, and I don't want them to be banned or anything. I just don't want to play with them anymore for one reason or another.  It would be good to have a separate "report" option.

I like the Board Game Arena method on this: when you ban/thumbs down players, you have an option for reporting them and takes very few extra clicks.

Good start.  I don't really think it needs to be shorter; you hit the main points and didn't explain yourself to the point that it got repetitive.  The only point that got repeated several times is the City Trap idea.  If you are looking to add anything, you could consider what other cards are useful to a Sauna\Avanto deck.  To make it worthwhile, you should want +buy\attacks\something to do with the extra Actions, but having too many extraneous cards mean the Saunas and Avantos are less likely to line up.

There were no fundamental changes to the cards in the sets, unlike Base and Intrigue.  Better worded cards and rules shouldn't change how the cards actually play, so it doesn't constitute enough to call them 2nd Edition.

I'd be satisfied if there were legitimate cases where it's not the absolute worst opening, assuming the player proceeds to play competently after the opening.
OK. By that weaker standard, what about buying Curse, Curse, Ambassador, Ambassador on T1-4? There are going to be kingdoms where that will beat people who for some reason ignore Ambassador entirely.

In a discussion about "strong cards", I think we should assume mid to high level play.  Curse is not a strong card; Ambassador is.

Simple: ($6 + 2P)/P = 2 with remainder $6. In other words, if you have $6 and 2 Potions, you can buy 2 Transmutes and still have $6 leftover.

Except my point is that you also need the buys: ($6 + 2P + 1 buy)/(P + buy) = 1 with remainder $6 + P. In other words, if you have $6 and 2 Potions, but only 1 buy, you can only buy one Transmute.

But on a coins-provided-per-cost basis how does Philosophers Stone compare to Silver??

Define Usefulness as a function that looks like (return)/(investment).  So Silver is ($2 * plays) / ($3 + 1buy), and Stone is ((Deck / 5) * plays)/($3 + 1P + 1buy).

So Usefulness(Stone)/Usefulness(Silver), is [((Deck / 5) * StonePlays) * ($3 + 1buy]) / [($3 + 1P + 1buy) * ($2 * SilverPlays)]

The problem is the value of Stone varies, especially when you play it, which makes this mess difficult to to anything with.  I wish I knew LaTeX - this would be much easier.

It's perfectly reasonable to have a bad experience with an opponent and want everyone else to blacklist them.  Problem is, any one person could make up a false story against someone they don't like, so giving the world a story about a person shouldn't generate hate for that person.  Stef has always told us to blacklist problematic opponents and stop there.  It's his platform; let's follow his rules.

One issue with treasure chest expansions is that they fail to have a true theme.  If you're not careful, it'll look like just a collection of outtakes and ideas.  I know Dominion doesn't rely on theme all that much, but without a theme, there won't be any common ground for people to talk about: we both might like the set, but like and dislike opposite cards.  Durations, as Adventures showed, can be brought back easily, but it's almost impossible to put Potions in a set and not make it an Alchemy sequel.

Really, the Promos are nearing the size of a small expansion, and could be seen as a treasure chest sort of expansion in their own right.

If players really do hate 3-pile endings, they'll blacklist you after the game, and you can blacklist them.  Take the win.

Tax and Mission on the board.  What to do on boring Mission turns?  Spend your +buy from Wharf to tax Province, and deny your opponent points.  Province had 24 Debt tokens on it at one point.

Fortunately, Monument and Artisan were in the kingdom, so it didn't turn into a stalemate.  The game ended with Farming Villages, Wharves, and Duchies emptying.  The game was practically over when I lost both the Farming Village split and the Wharf split, but it was fun to carry on nonetheless.

You may buy cards from the trash this turn.

This is a really neat mechanic when coupled with some way to put things in the trash.  As mentioned in Dark Ages discussions, straight gaining from the trash has problems, so this is a good way to balance good and bad cards in the trash, and not have a ridiculously overpowered or underpowered card.

It's also worth questioning how fast to buy Sauna when things like Baker, Alms, or Borrow are on the board.

I feel like on a Baker start, opening double Sauna isn't the best, since it doesn't get trashing going at all and doesn't increase buying power.

Good draw is especially important now, because in an engine, Night cards sort of work like a non-terminal non-drawing card (similar to Treasure).
You can, however, gain Raider and other Night-Attack cards when trashing Squire.
