Hi great idea to use Cavalry !
There’s a little inconsistency though, in the first part you say to buy squire (which is consistent with the number of cavalries you claim to have in hand after that step), but you say you still have $3 left (not counting the $2 for squire). And in the second part (the game log), you instead buy advance to get the squire, but then you wouldn’t have 3 cavalries in hand
I suppose the true line is to advance into squire since it’s the one you tested

another thing, is that at the end of the step where you either play squire or haggler, you claim to have 2 horses in hand while you have only gained 4 and already played 3; and you talk about playing the two horses after that. I don’t think it matters to your line though !

I played a game with Idol (my favorite card released so far, even though some people destroy it verbally), and it had Artisan. I got Artisan early on but I don't remember how (it was something like 3rd turn), and it's so great to get your Idols straight in your hand where you can use them even if you don't have any actions left. You have one Idol, you play your Artisan, you get another Idol, you play both and you laugh madly because you got to curse your opponent.

And also, my opinion on Boons is that even though it relies on luck, if there is no trasher, you will want to play your Idols as much as possible to get the Flame's Gift.

And that's normal in an algorithmic sense of the game :
while player.hand.size < 7:
    player.draw()

And if player.hand.size ≥ 7, it does nothing.

Ok I just understood, I thought you did all this just to buy 9 Grandmarkets, but you build them from Peddlers. Nice idea, maybe not worth the trouble.

Well it's the same for me, I played too much with the basic cards without sleeving them (which I will do promptly), so much that we can differentiate Basic Treasures/Victories cards from Curses and Kingdom cards. And I'm not all that interested in Intrigue.

Hey,
I'm not sure whether you can buy two Engineers with 2 buys. I think that you can't, but as it's not specifically said anywhere, I want to be sure.

I know, but I have Dominion, Hinterlands, Dark Ages, Adventures and just now Empires, and all that takes a lot of space already. At the very least, I'll wait till Nocturne is released. The thing is my cousins have Prosperity, and I've been avoiding buying expansions they have.
And really, all boxes are amazing expansions.

OK, so I just got Empires (I know I'm late, but I wasn't sure if I wanted it really). And I was wondering if it would be a good idea to buy the Base Cards set, in order to play with Colonies and Platinums with certain high-money Empires games (I don't have Prosperity).
In a nutshell, my question is : can Empires act enough of a Prosperity-sequel to allow Colony-games ?

I think lurker is becoming one of my least favorite cards, but maybe I just haven't figured it out quite yet.
Well, personally I like it because it's game-warping, but I accept that for the same reason others don't like it.

But sorry to have brought up the subject here, we should stop :

Post interactions between multiple cards here which result in novel, interesting, and/or particularly effective synergy.

Hi everyone!
I was wondering why is Annex considered so powerful as to cost . I mean, maybe it's just me, but I can't bring myself to see it as a strong event.  :-\
So I was hoping you could talk - maybe not about why it's as strong as Donate, but about why it's as expensive.

Lurker+Golem

Open double Lurker, gain a Golem with the Lurkers.
Then buy Lurkers and gain Golems, in no time you are able to gain several high-cost Actions in one turn.

There is also Armory+Mystic
It's obvious, but nice when you need a particular cheap card.

I just had a game with Watchtower, Charm+Talisman and Triumph... completed by a perfect structure of 4 Saunas + 5 Avantos. So you draw your whole deck, you play your 3 Silvers and your 7 Charms, with only 1 on +;+buy. Then you buy a card, gain 6 other cards, trash the 7 with WT, buy Triumph, trash the Estate and +8! (each turn)

Wow.

But to gain the of Emporium, you need to have 5 actions in play, and repeating Rogue with KC counts only as two. So you would need other actions, no ?

I know for sure that you choose the card for Scheme when you play it, the same as Bridge.

If I have a on my Tavern mat and I play a , can I choose the Duplicate, so that if a call it this turn to gain another copy of a card under , and it goes on play, I can topdeck it at cleanup ?

Yes indeed, it's the general rule that comes to mind when reading all the Rule clarifications of Outpost, like :

"Any Outpost (or Throne Room variant) still in play after your turn(s) due to failing to produce an extra turn are discarded during the next Clean-up phase: that of the player to your left."

Ok, I forgot that even if you trashed a Caravan from play, it would still do its effect. It's like the difference between Highway and Bridge when Throne Roomed.
