Sorry to be that guy, but I'm changing my entry again.


Are you $1 short for buying what you want? Buy this. It replaces your buy and gives you $1 extra. There's a penalty, of course. You have a crappy card in your deck. You can trash it if you want in the future, but that uses up an Action you could've used for something else.

How about you workshop it? That's fine too. It grants you +$3 and a buy, but at the expense of having that crappy card again.

Messenger? Yup. Give everybody else this while you get the benefit and they don't.

This is definitely too strong for only $4. A mandatory cantrip trasher at $4 is already too good and this has 2 extra bonuses on top of that. Itís probably ok for a $5 though.

You are correct. A few years away from the forums and my sense of game balance is gone. I will modify my original post with a new entry. Thank you.

I bought Dominion: Renaissance when it was brand new and the colors on the back of the cards were too bright. Was that ever fixed?

I'm looking to buy Renaissance again and gift my old copy to a friend who is fine with the colors. If it has been fixed, how can I tell which boxes are updated with the right colors?

Start of the game: Trash stuff. Trash something you liked? Gain it back. Basically +1 Card +1 Action.

Mid-game: Gain a Copper from the trash to your hand if you're 1 coin short, or some other random useful card that happens to be there.

Late-game: Gain tie-breaker Estates back.


You may spend an action to discard cards you don't want first. No +actions this game? You can still play it at the start of your turn if it's in your starting hand, then you have a spare action as well.

EDIT: Nvm. It probably makes attack cards too weak and things like Desperation too strong. It needs a nerf but there's no more room on the card.

Jinx Tokens
Whenever you have 6 or more Jinx tokens, you return 6 and gain a Curse.

My edict: curses are now necropolises! yay!!!

Edit 2: People don't seem excited for this edict. so I'm turning up the volume on this: Now Every curse is a village, but they are worth -2vp instead of -1 vp.

Another update. Now curses are -2vp villages you cant get rid of. idk if this is a good idea

Am I the only one that feels like this is too complicated and punishing?  A zero-cost Village that is worth -1 VP is fine and I would buy it sometimes but not depend on it. I don't think it needs the -2 VP or the trashing clause.

Not to be that guy, but JW's card is quite similar to one of my old cards. Not that I have any right to complain; a few years ago I accidentally submitted a card that was very similar to one of Hypercube's events. Also, I accidentally copy Asper all the time. Point is that I ain't mad, but still feel it needs to be pointed out.

I used the color of Ruins because that was easy, but the color doesn't quite match. Oh well, I don't think I'll be disqualified for color choice.

This looks quite good. The attack part is interesting. Other players have to decide whether they block it with a Moat (if available of course) before the player plays the Treasure. So, they don't know beforehand whether they miss to gain a Gold.

This could potentially make it political, though.

If you have both a Gold and Copper in your hand, you could choose what to give to certain players based on who blocks it in multiplayer, especially in three players.

Personally, I'd get rid of the attack completely and just have, "each other player may gain a copy of it."

If it's your very first turn, you get to rearrange your starting deck however you please. If it's not your first turn, this isn't strictly better or worse than Scouting Party.
