I thought this has forager this cant be a too long game. I just love  this trasher.

I would open hermit/foarger then depending on my draws go for a smuggler but most likely not. use the events when it calls for it. Shrink my deck really small really fast then go for crossrads +2 rabble big money. Depending what the opponent does fairgrounds or provinces. would skip prince.

This thread would probably make an excellent source of test cases for the new Dominion client.  How would you make a UI that makes that sequence halfway understandable?

You dont; you rack up coins till integer overflow and end up crashing the game or at -64000$

I think its better then lab. In a big money kingdom you ned 3-4 archive and you gonna hit 8$ pretty reliable.

In every other engine, it digs 1 card deeper (huge) AND it sets up your next turn! Just dont buy too many because its a bit slow.

Another tip: Consider buying at least 1 treasury in the mid game. It ensures 100% throne room plays especially for your outpost. Basically if you reach your first 13% buy 2x throne room + 1 treasury any you have your 16$ ready!"

Its ok, yah 3 copper sounds alot, but if your opponent also uses rebuild the game is so fast it dosnt matter, what matters is getting 5 NOW. So yah I like it!

Yah my plan was to get the junk dealer later on, but then I realised I just gonna 3 pile with IGG + Curse + Ruins, so there is no need for a "later" so I bought some green with spoils while he was busy junk dealing...

He got 5/2 and opened Junk Dealer.
Turns out marauder + Ill gotten gains rush is stronger...

While op is right, hes also kinda obvious...

Too bad this game sucks my RAM horrible (when I alt + tab my pc lags like hell). I could minimize DOTA2, CS:GO and CIV5 at the same time and still have a better performance than "doing other stuff" with dominion in my task bar.

My solution: No conversation, maybe give em a 1 liner like: "eventually you will give up". Then I go to my other laptop...
Its hard for them to avoid the abandon so at least u got that...

What i didnt see and i hope i will never encounter: A slow play bot. That would be pretty efficient.
Just buys copper and plays them 5 sec pre time-out. Ends up gaining more and more copper -> 25 min turns.
Now you have to 3pile/province all by yourself.

Thats why I open spy/chapel in base game instead of sliver/chapel.

Best: Good trash and you mill opponents chapel.
Worst: you draw spy in the 4 turn and see chapel as your last card.

Well im still not convinced its the optimal play, but I really like to have so much control over the "thrashing phase"

On this board Steward is better. It trashes a bit faster and can also help to hit 5$. Lookout is also awkward midgame(how to trash bad cards if you draw them with warf?)

Lookout is better on boards with bad or no villages or on boards with topdeck/discard synergy.

wait nothing is better than beggar garden!

Gardens are weak because Bishop is available alongside Vineyards and a great engine (maybe Scrying Pool).  Beggar/Poor House can serve as two of the cheap action cards you drain to pump your Vineyards and end the game on piles.

Or Beggar is weak because you used all your Coppers to make proxy cards.

If this were RBCI...

I think 4$ is ok!

It collides with terminals, and is meh with villages. Its prolly best with Laboratory/Hunting Party.
It can be usefull to put some MM in your smithy/village engine but then you buy waaaay to many action cards...
Yes there will be some crazy games, with 12 highways and 14 goons in play but yeah why not xD

At 5$ you really dont want to buy this over Lab/Hunting party, because it just ends up as a Lab/Hp that can fizzle!


So yeah it obv really depends on the Kingdom, but I think 4$ is the best value...

As others stated gain a Peddler is just too clunky, why not make it random, like (setup choose a card at random) gain that card, or gain a bane card!

I remember seeing an idea similar to this on BGG not too long ago, and it got ripped to shreds. It's a win more card. It doesn't make for interesting situations or add to the strategy most of the time, it just gives you more points for already being in a good position.

I dont know man... maybe your right but this has to be tested! For me I am not really sure if this card is very good or just bad I dont know if its wroth to stack to wonders (duchies 12 pts) and so on. You have to think about it and you can argue about the strength, so is that not interesting/strategic enough?

If you get a couple provinces and a few Wonders you have an astronomical point lead.

True; yet each Wonder you get was also a Province you had to get... so if you have 2 Provinces and 3 Wonders, you could have also just bought 8 Provinces.

Yeah, for balancing reasons! I mean the effect is really strong, is it? I cant make the multiplier 1.5 without getting super akward so I thought it should make a strong drawback!

Yes 1v1 and from the hand!

Technical things first: I think you want this to say "worth 0 VP" somewhere; it's a VP card after all. Also, in order not to get a ridiculous stacking effect (unless that's what you want), you could maybe change the wording to: "At the end of the game, count the VP of all your VP card that are not Wonder. This is worth the amount of VP you counted."

Yeah I really want the stacking effect! so 2 wonders and 2 provinces = 2x2x12 pts
Witch is kinda balanced, since you could have bought 6 provinces and win anyway.
With your suggestion "trash all in play" im not sure if its to easy to get some mega vps xD (and you can use coin tokens to remove the penalty)

I think this card is weak in a pure province race since its so much, a win more card (if you win the province split its prolly gg anyway)
The card could be good with alternative vp cards, long dragging games with duchies or as a counter to vp token engine!

Or you can try to get a wonder really early (tournament style) to secure a big advantage for the rest of the game.

well and yeah the damn swindler, I mean I could price it to 7$ but meh; I could make the trash on buy, but then its to easy to remodel into it... maybe just hop the dont show up together^^

I really wanted the vp multiplier, and this is the most balanced way I came up with!


Flavor: In a normal 1v1 dominon game you cant get the 8th wonder (if you dont do some remodel tricks the game just ends)
so I decided to make only 7 wonders! This prevents some ridiculous 2^8 multiplier and you can make each wonder a different
artwork pyramids, wall, ect...
The card should mimic the sacrifices (trash) and the rewards (2x) of building a world wonder...

problem card -> swindler!
