So I have a lot of things to say about this game.
First of all, like theblankman said we both played really badly (we bought twice copper after turn 10 because we didn't even have enough for a silver...) and particularly me, taking rats turn 1 was just silly because it is not really a thrasher, it just turn your estate/copper into rats and that's why my deck become really thin and full of rats.
In fact I think the best strategy was too rush the hamlet and then build a rats/bishop strategy with some band of misfits (I really think Band of misfits was way stronger than mystic on this set cause it could be bishop, envoy or even rats) and without any money because you can buy copper with the +Buy from hamlets and turn this copper into rats for free. This strategy is, I think, really hard to make cause you need to trash most rats every turn but not falling into the rats trap (what I did at the beginning when half my deck was rats) and for that you need to think on every cart you play and to know exactly how much copper you need to buy every turn.
So that's why I think the 2/5 start there was the best because you can easily win the hamlet rush but I think the start smugglers/silver could be not that bad.
Then you just need some envoy/bishop/rats (or band of misfits who can be all of them) and you can easily trash 3 rats every turn with bishop (if you have at least 5 hamlets...).
Finally I would really like to play again on this set, to really see what the best strategy is, cause I think I failed pretty badly this game...

You are right Monsieur X, I told him that we should "normally" change the beginner but he told me that he didn't really care, that's why we did it randomly every time and I get lucky to get first player every time... (I think he didn't know how to create a non ranked game with all card so we just did ranked games...)

I won 3-1 against Qmech with I think 2 really interesting game.
The first one was a classic familiar game, you miss your potion, you lost! So I won this only by luck...
The second one was interesting, there are tunnel + embassy one of the strongest combo of the game but really boring too...
Qmech went for it when I went for a engine based on menagerie + outpost (outpost is still totally underrated I think...), I think my strategy was way more powerful (menagerie with horse trader + embassy for discard works really well).
The third one was not as much stupid as first one but not that much interesting neither (no + action and no throne room.. ^^), we both went for a grand-market + warehouse strategy but he did it way better than me and finally got the game...
The last one was really the game that I preferred. Black market is one of my favorite card, I think I always buy at least one of them every game, moreover when watchtower is on the board.
I think I got pretty unlucky at the beginning (I have got my blackmarkets together twice early) so I thought that the game was already lost... but at the end, Qmech get no luck at all (he got 3 times 6 and 2 times 7 in the last 5 turn...) which allows me to get the victory.

Hi everyone,
I don't really know why I wonder me today : "long time that I didn't play dominion, I miss this game so much but isotropic is down... Ok, let s try the new website, it s maybe not that bad! :p"
I was a bit rusted but pretty fast I was back in the game and I remembered why i liked this game so much!
But even if all the game that I did was really funny no one was so intensive than this one! :

I think that my strategy was really not the best, he could have won by trashing province with apprentice for example but he was leading so much that I think he was thinking : " why this guy is still buying action, just end this game, you lost already! ^^"

Yes I admit , I played really badly the game with crossroad and great hall... but I think it was the only one where they was something a bit like a engine possible , all the other game was so boring and I was even seek of playing . I think that for the last game I checked if some village was here, no village so go BM again... but yes it was a huge mistake!
I would have liked to stop dominion on a win of the tournament! ^^ but I was so far of the win thanks to LordHedgie! :p
This tournament is really great but they are just one thing that I don't really like... Why the tournament is without veto? I think that veto mode make the game much more interesting (you can avoid the card that destroy the game like Gouvernor...) and I really think that I would have been better with veto! ^^
Ok so, like I said, I will stop playing dominion (at least for a while...) so I want to say thank you to every one of this forum, I really enjoyed this year full of dominion! :p

I won against Lekkit 3-2 (the beginner always won... It's really the only thing that I dislike in dominion : the first player have a too big advantage...)

(I didn't understood why he opened Worker village and I was thinking that he want buy for gardens :p ) so he take mass Worker with some haven to have 4 actions in one turn.
He succeed to get 7 peddlers which was impossible to overcome (I tried mass rabble but apprentice and salvager with peddler are a bit too strong. ^^)

I am agree with you for the 2 first games, engine was possible (I use it game 2, and game 1 I just screwed up, I try to rush province but with scrying pool engine was really the best to do...) but where do you see engine potential in game 4 or 5?

I regret really this, I really want to participate, it was my first tournament and I dream about one since so long time...
