So after my last hot takes i present an idea i am really convinced of. Potion should have been in the main set and always out, like curse. Like curse you wouldnt buy it if there were no interactions, but if there are why not. BUT it should not give potion to spend like now, but instead a potion token. You could use that to buy potion cards (which would make cards that cost multiple potions possible). Also with that you could make cards like "spend a potion token for +3 cards +1 action" or so that dont cost potion. The design space would be unlimited. It would make potion way less swingy and every expansion could have a bit of potion in it.

Here it does not matter if the card is strong or weak, lets try to think about what cards are badly designed and how they could have come out better.

Bandit: Terrible for the Base Game as in there it devolves into Bandit BM almost every time, especially when playing with newer players. Thief was there to show that you should not rely on treasure alone, Bandit makes this laughably easy. New player wont get better using this.

Wizards: I know almost nobody plays in 5player games, but the shere possibility that one person almost instaloses because its not possible for them to buy the only trasher in the kingdom is extremely rough. Same for Sauna and 6p.

Hero: A BM card in a line that exclusively helps engines? And the treasure gaining isnt even optional. No matter what strategy you use, this line always has a card that you really dont want but have to play.

Cutpurse: The possibility alone that this leaves you with no way to ever recover is bad. Copper costs 0 because normally no matter how you play you can always buy copper and come back. Not with this. You wont ever get any kind of economy. Of course this mostly needs multiplayer, but there the wrong opening buy can already seal your tomb.

Lets discuss- Silver mine

Okay, maybe i am overlooking something but this is a horrible card. In games with potion this might be nice to never whiff with potion, but why isnt this an non terminal action that says gain a treasure up to 5? Without that, there are very little treasures that cost 4 or less that you would actually want. Or is there any saving grace for this card? When would you gain it outside of swindler? What is the best treasure to gain with it? Would you ever want this to gain only silver in a game?

Not a individual card, i know, but i think it still fits.
We all know how the hexes are generally unpredictable and can be either game defining or sometimes even helpful to the opponent.

-Would a straight +2$, each other player recieves the next hex be better or worse than militia? Assuming tormentor doesnt exist of course.
- Is the self- hex of leprechaun or cursed village more unpleasent?
- If you could remove or modify one single hex, what would it be?
- Are they too complicated because of the states?

Sorry if that post isnt a high quality one, its my first one.
