Governors were split 5/5. My opponent buys a Outpost on his turn 10. My deck was thinner than his (I got two Moneylenders and remodeled silvers into MV/Governors) and his chances of stalling on a Outpost turn were pretty high. However, he gets a hand of 2xGovernors, Province and wins the game, grabbing the last Province (on his Outpost turn!!). Really lucky!

We learn how to better play Dominion by testing options. You optimize things but sometimes luck shows up.
The same happens when you collide your only two terminal actions and want to buy a Village. Maybe you do not need it!
We have to be tough to believe in probabilities and keep playing as turns like this does not happen often.

Hi everybody,

Maybe it is a bit late to introducing myself since I have already played two League seasons (E division of course

).

I am a Brazilian guy doing PhD in Biomolecular Physics. I usually travel to Germany once in a year to record some data for my thesis.
It was in Germany that I found Dominion. I used to play IRL with some friends, just to have fun. Chapel was really weak for me since it did not make sense trashing my economy. I used to buy all the cards available in a kingdom, supposing that was the best thing to do. That is why my picture here is from Menagerie

Once I found out Dominion Online and the Strategy Forum. I remember reading "The Five Deck Types" from theory on the blog... Those texts really helped me to improve my playing (by a lot!). I played the Dominion Meisterschaft Championship in Germany and I was crashed in the preliminary group by a Conspirator engine pretty badly. Ever since I realized a whole new level in Dominion! How you can spend hours discussing/playing a single board!

I am planning to post an article about Bonfire soon. It would be nice to hear your feedback.

Goko Dominion Online / Tokens with Possession not working properly

With the release of Empires, how Possession works has been changed. Now, when Possessing someone, the Possessing player also gains all tokens taken during the Possessed turn. This is in contrast to the Official FAQ as originally published. The exception to this is Pirate Ship Coin tokens, which would still be put on the Possessed player's mat.

I believe this was not implemented yet. I figured out today when I used Ferry to reduce Possession cost in a Possessed turn (it did not work out as I thought $:-\$ )
Should I report this in MF forum or here is fine?

Help! / Losing Gardens split is that bad?

I am playing E League-division and I am a noob at Dominion

. Any reply will be appreciated.
But I believe after losing Gardens split at this match I was hopeless.

Both open Ironworks/Beggar.
I admit I made a mistake buying a Garden on turn 3. But lets suppose I have chosen Ironworks instead.
On my turn 5, I draw both my Ironworks with my opponent with 4 Gardens already.
I think he got really lucky getting double Gardens on turns 4 and 5.

After that I tried to grab some Provinces (actually I just got one) but the game was over at turn 16.
I know I did not play optimally here. My question is if I had any chances to win this match even losing Gardens split.

Any thoughts?
