Remake a Feodum (Gain 3 silvers, tally 3), Gain a Storeroom Catacombs from Remake (tally: 4) than Trash it with WT to gain a Feodum (tally: 7) which you also trash to gain 3 silvers (Tally: 10).
Do this with other Feodum too. (tally: 20).
In meantime, reveal a Market Square once on any trash, for 21.

Nice!  I think you miscounted though -- each one gains you 6 silver, 1 Catacomb, and 1 feodum for a tally of 8, not 10 (and a grand total of 17).

But going off this idea, if you use Governor instead of Remake to get started, you can get your opponent involved too.

You trash feodum -> gain border village -> gain/trash catacomb -> gain/trash feodum.  (gaining BV, Cat, 6 silver, Feodum), and discard 2 MS.
Opponent goes feodum -> catacomb -> feodum (gaining 6 silver, Cat, Feodum), discarding 3 MS

I think that's 22 total.

2 player game. You are up by 1 on your turn and there is only a single province remaining and you have $8 yet if you buy it you'll lose. Why?
your opponent has at least two fool's golds, (at least one in hand), 3 fairgrounds, 14 unique cards, and 0 golds. they will trash a fool's gold and gain a gold, giving him 6 extra points from fairgrounds.

Or all the embargoes are on provinces.

I can do 20. ... Hit all 10 Tunnels

There are only 8 tunnels, but yeah, still that's better than mine.  I had [Dame Natalie, Watchtower, 3 Market Square].  Opponent trashes a Hunting Grounds (gaining three estates), flips a Tunnel (gaining 1 gold), and discards 5 Market Squares (5 more gold).   You gain Squire (trash with WT), Gain Sir Vander (trash with WT, gain gold), and discard 3 MS (3 more gold).

Hand is Golem, KC3, Beggar1-3

Golem -> KC1, KC2

KC1 -> Beggar1 (gain 9 copper)
KC2 -> KC3 -> Beggar2, Beggar3. (Gain 18 copper)

For 27 cards

I meant to disqualify cards like Golem and KC with the wording "play a single action card", but I guess that could have been worded better.

Anyway, 15 is possible with only a single action card being played.

2 player game; no possession; no durations; 5 card hands; normal turn.

In my action phase, I play a single action card.  By the time it's resolved, 15 cards have been gained.  How?

Side puzzle: 15 was the best I could do.  Is it possible to do better?

It's on gain instead of on buy so it can combo with workshop and remodel variants - although that may be too powerful.

It can get wild with Haggler(s) in play and/or Border Village in the supply.  :)

Edit: Also Hoards.

FEAST, but I really don't think this one's cricket. Standard cryptic clue format requires you to give all the letters that are to be anagrammed, not just clue them.

Whoops.  I originally thought it was a simple reversal (stef->fets), but then realized that it was an anagram instead.  I changed the action to "gets confused" but forgot to reclue "stef".

And yeah, "warehouse" isn't a great clue for "storeroom".

- Swear ends of radius are within white ball
- Admit each pig
- #1 player gets confused and eats a meal.

I feel using the names of other Dominion cards in the fifth one makes it a little confusing.

- Jump over Bank Storeroom
- Explosive Mountebank/Estate openings get popular

Some new clues; no overarching theme for these, though

- Dominion playtester, while away, keeps note.
- Dramatic prince permitted after overdramatic one.
- Renowned engine builder holds together with official.
- Wife holds a thousand fake teeth.
- Looking west, east in wasteland spoils warehouse.

I have no idea what is happening.  :-\

You could ask the moderator, but he's probably out sabotaging concertinas, so you might not get a response.  He's really quite the accordion vandal.

That was harder than I though it was going to be.

After yesterday's results, I feel like I am alienated from the rest of the players. I assume it's not due to my risque writing style, but maybe I shouldn't have referred to Jean as a "Regal lovebird" or whatever it was. In any case, Alex can clearly reclaim his role without fear of retribution.

Partially correct. It looks like I goofed and put down one of Harry's lines in there, but the rest of the post comes from another player.

Your claim is crazy. You expect us to believe you're some kind of madman cop, which I think means you're one of those ... what's the word? Jester? Joker? Sad fact, all you've done is make it likely you'll be killed by scum.

I think this works:

My hand is Horse Traders, Secret Chamber, Tunnel, Fools Gold, and Beggar.
My deck is Cultist, Trader, Dame Molly, Watchtower, and Market Square.

Opponent plays a Knight:
- Set aside HT (1)
- Play SC (2).  Draw Cultist, Trader.  Topdeck Cultist, Tunnel.
- Discard Beggar (3).  I gain 2 silver, and use Trader (4) to regain the one that would have been topdecked to discard pile.

Opponent's Knight turns over Tunnel and Cultist
- Trashing the Cultist, letting me draw Dame Molly, WT, and MS
- Discard MS (5), gaining Gold (topdeck with WT (6))
- Discarding Tunnel (7), gaining Gold (topdeck with WT)

Opponent buys Province
- Trash FG (8 ), topdecking Gold.

My hand is now SC, Trader, Molly, WT.  My deck is three golds; I have two silvers in discard.
- Return HT to hand, draw 1 gold.
- Play Molly (+2 actions)
- Play HT (+$3, discard SC, Trader)
- Play WT, drawing 2 gold (shuffle), 2 silver
- Play 3 gold, 2 silver; buy 2 province.

There's even room for one more card, so add a Hovel to the bottom of the deck, and trash it (9).

OK, here's my take on how to make Reserve do something like what Rush_Clasic wants it to, but not have horrible interactions with other cards:

Reserve (4)
Victory
4VP
-----
When you gain this, discard four Coppers from play. If you do not, return this card to the Supply and gain a Silver.

I can't wait to Ironworks one of these.

One questionable one that I came up with that's not on the list:

Land (Farm, Isle)

And I managed to go too high on three guesses.

Village (*, Mining, Fishing, Farming, Workers, Border, Walled, Ruined, Mining, Native) (-1)  (I like mining villages).
Sir (x6) (-1)  (oh, there's only 5? :-()
Dame (x6) (-1)
Trade (Trading Post, Trader, Horse, Route) (-1)
Market(*, Grand, Square, Ruined, Black)
Ship (Pirate, Ghost, Merchant)
Duke (*, Duchy, Duchess)
Gold (*, Bag of, Fool's)
Ruin (Market, Library, Village)
Room (Throne, Council, storage)
House (Counting, Light, Ware) (-1)
Mine (*, Abandoned, Village)

Land (Isle, farm) (?) Treasure (Treasury, Map) Farm (Village, land) Noble (*, Brigand) Out (Lookout, Outpost) Library(*, Ruined)
Court(Yard, King's) Yard (Court, Vine) Witch (*, Young) Iron (Works, Monger) Of (BagGold, BandMisfits) Loan (Moneylender, Loan) (0)
Copper (*, smith) Smith (*, copper) Estate (*, Overgrown) Venture (*, Adventurer) Hunting (Party, Grounds) Post (Out, Trading)
Grounds (Hunting, Fair)

115 + 17 = 132

One other idea:  Curses only come off the mat one at a time.  So you can control the deck-bloating a little more, and not be completely screwed over if you really need that extra coin on a single turn later in the game.  And you can still keep them all on the mat on an engine game.

If that's the route people want to go with the card, that's fine. I suggest this wording:

Soothsayer
Types: Action – Attack
Cost: $4
+2 Cards. Each other player gains a Curse, setting it aside on his Soothsayer mat.

In games using this, at the start of your Buy phase you may discard a Treasure from your hand. If you don't, discard all cards on your mat. Return all set aside cards to your deck at the end of the game.

It's more concise, keeps the set-aside wording of Island and Native Village, and includes the clause to return the cards to your deck at end-game.

Also, thanks to everybody who voted for my card! I'm really glad so many people liked it.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the mechanic, but isn't this now like 99% as good as a regular witch, but it costs 4$?  The handed-out curses might miss a shuffle, but I can't imagine it's often a good idea to keep the curses on the mat for any appreciable length of time.

"pass"ing a card is defined in the rulebook, just like "gain" and "trash".  A simple note in the rules here would take care of the corner cases, and not confuse anyone with strange wording on the card.

Back to the original question, I've always been a little unnerved by Kings Court/Scheme.  I know it works as designed, and nobody else seems to have a problem with it, but to me it seems to be on a completely different level than any other 2-card combo.
