Borrow, surely:Borrow's art just makes me think of this:
I'll probably grab it when it comes back in stock on Miniature Market.I see Guilds/Cornucopia back in stock on Amazon. Does that mean the 2nd ed for it is out now?
Edit: Nevermind. Someone posted about it in a different thread.
I just want to make sure it is the second edition before ordering it.
I wish more people understood that, while Dominion was hugely innovative as the game which started the deck building genre, that's not a big part of why it's such a good game.I used to be one of those people that went "there are so many deckbuilders now that we don't need Dominion anymore". Then I actually played it, and liked it, and with each game I've grown to appreciate how fine-tuned and consistently worded everything is despite how expansive it is. Now it's my #1 favorite deckbuilder and overall favorite board game. I still like other deckbuilders and have nearly a dozen of them, but I find myself comparing new deckbuilders I encounter to Dominion, and most of the time I find that I'd rather just play Dominion.
Particularly, I wish that was understood by the people who know I love Dominion and therefore expect me to be keen to play whatever other deck builder they've picked up this week.
I'm a little disappointed it doesn't have events. I love how you can add them to every set.Yeah. Personally I was hoping for some landmarks but overall I'm not complaining. More Dominion is always good.
I just can't believe nobody spelled Farmers' Market correctly in this entire thread. It could just belong to a single farmer.
+Inheritance just to rub salt into the wound. Will there ever be an option to force one of the retired cards into a game? The "ever" makes that question impossible to accurately answer. There are no plans to ever add the retired cards.
Forcing Scout into games would make a great April Fools' Day prank.
April Fool's Day: All Kingdoms are ten piles of Scout.
Is there an ETA on Cornucopia/Guilds and Alchemy? I know Nocturne is about to come out now but I'm pretty excited to complete my Dominion 2nd ed collection. The layout isn't done for Guilds/Cornucopia, so it's months away. Nothing has even been started for Alchemy.
There's a term for this too: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survivorship_biasI realized that when I do dirty outdoor work (like clearing a fire break below my house on the Peninsula), I still wear a couple Sears work shirts made in US that I bought many years ago as a teenager, and they are still in perfect condition despite heavy use and paint stains...While I don't doubt that these days everyone is involved in cost engineering and planned obsolescence, it is worth being aware of a common fallacy in this area:
All the appliances I have that I bought in the twentieth century are still going strong after seventeen years, whereas many things I bought recently have broken after only a couple of years. But this statement is inherently true. You've had a lot of time to forget about all the things you bought twenty years ago and threw away fifteen years ago.
Thank you.Is the version of Dark Ages sold on Amazon right now 2nd ed? I noticed that it's been out of stock for a while and suddenly returned. The new edition of Dark Ages has been sent to distributors, but I have no way of knowing for sure what you'll get if you buy it somewhere without checking the back of the box.
Thank you.Is Alchemy 2nd ed now?No.
