Did you upgrade last week? If so, have you tried the alternate build? See https://forum.makingfun.com/showthread.php?12483-Release-Notes-v-2-1-7.

We reviewed the server recently, and it is healthy. The only changes were to the marketplace and some end of life messaging, nothing that woukd account for crashes. The old/new unity is typically the cause for that.

It decreases by the hour. Literally.

Goko Dominion Online / Re: Making Fun now offering subscriptions

I don't get it. The only thing I don't have are 4 promo cards, totaling $60 if I buy them normally. Subscription through 2016 is offered to me for $91. How can it be higher? For 30 days it's $21.

Is this a bug, or am I not getting how this is supposed to work?

It seems like the subscription pricing is not linear in the number of cards you need to subscribe to, and it's cheaper per-card the more cards you need to get. So that could explain it. Of course, this doesn't make a lot of sense as a business decision, but that's another matter.

Also, those dollar numbers look too high. Are they meant to be ducats, the in-game currency?

The 2016 subscription price is about five dollars a month. $91 sounds like a complete my collection purchase price.

Lots of pissed off people in MFs forums. People are just realizing the purchases they made before don't actually last forever. When 2016 comes, I think there's going to be a shit storm. I still believe lots of customers don't know what's going on.

For the record, I think MF offering subscriptions is the right thing to do.

One person with a question, one person who was angry and didn't understand that we aren't involved past 2016, and one person from here who's been a detractor for some time now. Not sure how that's lots of people?

I'm glad we're doing it, too. It's something we've wanted for a while.

The alt builds have resolved %100 of these so far, so try that if the video card update doesn't work.

The mobile implementation just keeps getting better. Now the number of cards remaining in a pile is color coded. If you click to zoom in on a card, you can swipe left and right to scroll through the cards you are able to buy. I'm actually pretty impressed with this.

You're not allowed to say that in these parts, are you?  :o  ;D

This probably has more to do with Unity and your system than with our horrible, no good, very bad code. Try the alt build, the latest of which can be found at http://forum.makingfun.com/showthread.php?10842-Release-Notes-v-2-1-5.

If you're on Windows, try updating your video card driver. Unity for mobile does very well, but with each new Unity release, the standalone versions, especially for Windows, seem to introduce some new oddity typically related to graphics.

That accounts for the full-screen to windowed switch done via keyboard shortcuts. Unity for standalone apps just doesn't seem to like that.

Monday's release should have fixed this for you.

I got matched with her as well. I didn't react and did something else...she resigned after playing 3 coppers slowly.  8)

I think this was definitely the right call.  Someone who creates a novelty account like this, and informs their opponent that they're doing it on purpose, they're just looking for the resign.  They don't want to sit there for 2 mins between each copper anymore than you do, they want to move on to the next game to get a quick resignation from someone else.

In this case, what's their game though?  I wonder if this being done on purpose to try and force MF to fix this.

It's one persistent troll making new accounts. I've been screening for them and have banned a few that haven't been reported yet. And the ones that have been reported are banned as well. He seems to have slowed down in the last couple of days. These people usually burn out on the "fun." But we do investigate all these reports. Screenshots are golden.

I've got a few reports like yours, with cards piling up in the middle. I made a ticket yesterday for those.

If you want to post your usernames, we can look for the game logs around the time when this happened. I've got another report of this, unless that was one of you who emailed, so details might let us connect the dots.

Also, Goko hasn't been around for quite some time. :)

Hi, all.

In an effort at transparency, here is the text of the two PMs that I sent OP after removing his second post. He can post images of this to confirm if he wishes.

Hi there. Your post was deleted (again). There is a thread where John first announced the change in developers. That's the appropriate place to discuss this topic. The release notes thread is for the release notes, feedback on the release itself, and reports of any issues with the new clients that people may have.

Thanks.

15 minutes prior to his second post here, I sent him this clarifying PM.

In the context of your f.ds thread, John announced this in February as you see in this thread which I referenced in my previous PM: http://forum.makingfun.com/showthread.php?8711-2016-plan-future

You will also note that Jeff's release notes point out new Terms of Service. You will also find those Terms of Service linked at purchase points in the game. If you wish to change your f.ds thread to reflect that we are not misinforming customers, it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

To reinforce the above, John first publicized this change in February. Moreover, Jeff's Release Notes plainly indicate new Terms Of Service. Those Terms Of Service also appear at purchase points in the game, something that was included for this build in light of the change in licensing. EDIT: This is in the specs to be included. I must have seen it in a test build.

As Kirian notes, JW's other post has remained intact. As I note in my first PM above, a thread exists where discussion has been ongoing and left alone thus far. We think it reasonable to remove a post from our own site that encourages people to not buy our product.
