Quick question which is probably obvious, but I wanted to make sure.

When you use Inheritance and Crossroads together, the Estates are still victory cards for the Crossroads draw, in addition to being the action card they now represent?

The printed rules didn't really clarify, but it seems like they should be both.

also, pillage doesn't have "if you do". so you can throne room it! governor for cards, throne room pillage, each opponent discards there best 2 of 6 cards, you get 4 spoils. kc option too, of course.
Are we sure about this interpretation?

Somehow I just realized that Spoils are likely to be a common Pillage target

Other than the fact that they are always on the board together, why would Spoils be more common to discard than gold, bank, powerful attack cards, etc?

Well, Donald X is known to prowl these forums, so we may have an answer to that soon...
I continue to be their pal, and they continue to want to control the flow of information, and so much for that.

I think it's fair to say this though: Trisha is in fact a woman.

And a very polite one on emails, as well.

Cool picture, but they misspelled "Apple" on the top of that weird tablet.

Also, wondering if this Amazon page is legit:
Yeah, not paying $12 in shipping. I'll wait for it to show up in FLGS or regular Amazon.

Sort of surprised there is no image in the corner, thought they might come up with something for this box. Maybe there will be in the printed version.

Dominion Isotropic / Re: Decline of civility on isotropic?

It's human nature to get really upset and defensive when losing, so it's important to remember where people are coming from.  Not responding in kind can do wonders for the online atmosphere.

I agree: Here was my good morning game dialog:

 5:51 KMueller: gg
 5:51 S******: lucky f%$#
 5:51 KMueller: yeah
 5:51 S******: grosss
 5:51 S******: you play like s^%$
 5:51 S******: and get rewarded
 5:51 KMueller: love you too
5:51 Shroomchild has returned to the lobby.

We played a very similar game, the only difference I bought a Remodel one shuffle before him and grabbed the last Prov. using it and a gold.

I agree that the gg, gl, hf are not the be all end all, but they at least indicate a willingness to chat, if the other person is interested.

Edit: Cartoon profanities to replace his

Rules Questions / Re: Coppersmith/ Black Market
« on: December 07, 2011, 11:17:30 am »

I'm having trouble thinking of a scenario in which you couldn't have just played your Coppersmith before your Black Market in the first place... is there one? The only thing I can think of is if you buy Coppersmith from the Black Market, and then use drawing to get it into your hand.

Village--> BM ---> Lab ---> (Draw Coppersmith)--> Coppersmith.

Although, in this scenario, why wouldn't you play the lab before the BM?

For participants, or for the champion?
Now that you say it, I think there is room for both.

I have a very important question:

Who is making the BGG microbadge for this tournament?

Do the match-ups go
1 vs. 256
2 vs. 255  ...

So I am seeded 216, to find my match, I go 257-216 = 41.

Is that how the first round will be set up?

I just cheated on isotropic...played a game of dominion elsewhere.

I love isotropic.

It's always a strange feeling coming back to real life Dominion after being on isotropic so long.  ZOMG, I'm playing with honest to God cards.  Cards!!!

I meant really cheated...I played elsewhere online.

Game-end condition? I finally succeeded in emptying the entire Curse pile with Mountebank.

It may have been enabled only by very poor play, but it's probably my favorite ever come-from-behind win ;D

Another Game-end condition: Two new players thoroughly hated Montebanks. I have introduced a number of friends to this great game, but try to avoid cursing them at first. Maybe I am just too nice...

Dominion General Discussion / Trade Route Question
« on: July 22, 2011, 10:31:16 am »
My basic question is this:

Generally, I have ignored Trade Route if the VP are limited to the standard three. How many green cards need to be on a board to make it worthwhile?

I know other issues come in to this, like it's +buy and its slow trashing ability. The absence of other cards that provide these abilities will likely change the answer to the above question, but I was just curious how others play with this card.
