What are the first things you look for in the kingdom before your game begins?

Personally: villages, trashers, +Buy

I actually love Debt cards it was just an example.
Well, sad that tables can’t be customized other than by level restriction.

Level restriction: there’s a bunch of cards that I love in the higher levels.
Ban list: it’s limited to 5 cards, which is nothing among the hundreds of existing cards :(

Is there a way to have ranked games without a given expansion(s) or did I just not find how to?
Typically I’d like to play my games without Alchemy and Nocturne while keeping my games ranked. Can this be done?

Also, can you enter such specifications with auto-match?

Also #2, can you play games without certain mechanics (boons, hexes, debt, etc.)?

So if I get it well, it’s a potential silver-for-each-gain?
The idea is nice, but when you don’t have the Rosary, it’s just a dead card.

I fear an extra option per player would be too strong.
With more players, the current version offers stronger and stronger options + choice.

On the same theme (cards that scale):

Pious Village

If you have the Rosary, choose one: if there are…
- 2+ players: +$2
- 3+ players:+1 Card +$1
- 4+ players: +2 Cards

Otherwise, +1 Card.


Another option is to remove the "otherwise" part and bring the cost down to $3. Feedback appreciated.

Dominion Online at Shuffle iT / Finding a table

I’ve played a lot against AIs and since yesterday I’ve been trying to play with humans. And I don’t quite get a few things.

"Games tab" – when I click "search", I see the nicknames of multiple users appear and disappear in the "queue" and it takes several minutes until I get matched… or give up trying. I’ve tried extending my level and rating tolerances to increase my chances, to no avail. How does this work exactly?

"Tables" tab – whenever I join a table, it doesn’t start because the player doesn’t see/hear I’ve joined. Sending messages in the chat doesn’t help either. Is there a way to make this work better? I’d suggest adding sounds and/or displaying the most recent tables at the top, i.e. those where players are still on their pre-game screen, waiting for someone to join.
Also, it’d be quite helpful to see players’ ratings in this tab, so you don’t get matched with someone who will crush you.

All of this has me quite frustrated that it takes so long to find a game.

So is it just me or does the matchmaking system(s) not work very well?

I would like other cards that are unlikely to pile out (e.g. Chapel) to have interesting cards below them.
I love this idea! Maybe it’ll make it to a weekly design contest.

Will start thinking about some.

One thought about original Rebuild is that you may have a deck with few Victory cards (i.e. strong deck, all other things being equal) and it still works.
With a card that expands Victory cards from your hand, you want to green earlier than you normally would to make the card powerful enough, making your deck more sluggish. Wouldn’t that tone down the power of a cantrip Victory card "expander"?

It’s what I thought and I still don’t understand your message. You say Rebuild without digging is too strong (…). Well it would be tons stronger with digging.
So I’m lost, I don’t see what you meant.

Having the draw effect help trigger the Rebuild effect was somehow the point :-) You think the difference in cost between $5 and $6 isn’t enough to justify the added power? Note that when you buy this you’re not buying Gold.

Also, Lab is good because you can buy many easily enough. This will be much harder to spam.

I feel it’s fun if these three cards interact with one another.

When playing a Trefoil card:
- you may treat it as another Trefoil card you have in play.
- you may discard two cards to first play a different Trefoil card from the Supply, leaving it there.
- you may discard a Trefoil card to play the played card twice. (Threene room)
- you may reveal cards from your deck until you reveal a Trefoil card. If you do, put that card on top of your deck and discard the rest.

When playing the first copy of a Trefoil card:
- if you have two (three) different Trefoil card(s) in play, each opponent gains a Copper (a Curse and trash a Trefoil card from play).
- if you have two (three) different Trefoil card(s) in play, +$1 (+$2).

When discarding a complete set of Trefoil cards:
- set aside the top 2-3 cards of your deck. At the start of your next turn, add them to your hand.
- gain 2-3VP / you may gain a Duchy.
- you may trash one to put the other two on top of your deck.

If you have at least one Trefoil card in play:
- on your turns, Trefoil Action cards can be played without Actions, Trefoil Treasure cards produce +$1.
- when buying a Trefoil card, +$1 +1 Buy.
- during your Buy phase, you may buy cards from the Trash, costing $1 less for each differently named Trefoil card you have in play.

On your turns, Trefoil cards cost $1 less for each copy of them you have in play.

You may trash a Victory card from your hand to gain a Victory card costing up to $3 more than the trashed card.

It makes me sad that Monkey is doing something very different than Way of the Monkey. But I guess calling the card Squirrel would not have made it Seaside-y enough.
Then it should be Parrot.

My bet for the next removed cards is on: Navigator, Explorer, Pearl diver, Ambassador, Treasure map, Pirate ship, Sea hag.

Thanks all for your replies and suggestions.

Nascent village v1 gets stronger than Lost city from the third copy you play. However, how often will you trigger a triple NV play?
Sounds decent to me compared with a well set-up City quarter (keeping everything in proportion, cost-wise). Now, I’m not a brilliant Dominion player.

Nascent village v2 was intended to be less powerful than v1, because v2 is less likely to draw itself (+1 card at most). In this version, two NV = two Bazaars or two Festivals. So sure, from 2 up they’re better than these individual cards, but being limited to +1 Card should make it decently hard to combo them?

Maybe sth like this that removes choice:
+2 Actions
+1 Card
If you have two or more Nascent villages in play, +$2;
three or more, +1VP;
four or more, +2 Buys.

Yes this one can be swingy. I’d like to have a card that’s a multiple Bridge/Highway.
