« on: January 01, 2017, 11:24:24 pm »I second these questions, and esp the ban list point - I HATED when people quitted games because they were losing, or they were unhappy that I was lucky enough to get a 5 copper hand (seriously, people resigned over that), and Ipersonally would choose to avoid playing those players again.
I don't understand this. Quitting a game that you are losing is the respectable thing to do. I have never "ragequit", per se, but if you play enough games you can tell when the game is out of reach. Resigning allows you to have a rematch with your opponent faster, or to play other people faster.

What I've learned is that I should never underestimate F.DS's ability to take a thread about Dominion and turn it into a thread about as many different non-Dominion things as possible. It's a truly amazing skill we have here.
I asked my wife if this thread is everything she wanted, she said yes but I think she was just saying that to get me to shut up. She saw the thread before all of the pictures of moths were posted, though, so I don't think she'll want to see the updates.
Oh yeah, and this:they're dad to herYeah, my father has a hard time staying out of my personal space too.
It took me a while to realize why this post had so many upvotes then I realized I typed "dad" instead of "dead." This was actually done on purpose, I'm not sure anyone reading this thread knows the reference I was making. Anyone?

So this is getting pretty frustrating. I've gotten this message about 5 times in the last 8 games. It has always come on the last turn, right as I bought out the last province or the third pile. I'm not even sure if it's counting it as a win or not. Anyone else seeing this message? Is it something with my computer/browser or is it something with the site? Let me know what you guys think.

I have one: Buying Estates to trash a turn 1/2 Hovel... Generally not a good play IMO. I'd say 4 out of 5 times you are better off without the estate.

I suppose I should add that you are picking a set of 10 from a set of 180 or however many kingdom cards there are. I guess you could throw in YW's bane card but I'm guessing it's negligible.

If I have played 5000 games with all the cards (not counting Adventures), what are the odds that I have played the same kingdom twice?
I think for starters, I should try to recall how many kingdom cards there are altogether (not counting Adventures).
As an added bonus, at what point (after how many games) does it become a 50% chance that I have played 2 games with an identical setup?

At $?! Yeah, it would! That's like a Silver that can discard with little downside limited to edge cases.
