Rules Questions / Dismantle + Wayfarer

Dismantle says "gain a cheaper card and a Gold". Do you have to gain them in that specific order? This matters when Wayfarer is in play.

Watchtower would work the same, of course.
No it wouldn't Watchtower topdecks the gained card rather than putting it in your hand. You can use Watchtower to trash the curse as you gain it, but that's part of the Watchtower card and nothing to do with Old Witch's trashing.

Captain and Church, since they are new and I want to see how they impact the game. (Despite being on the list, I still haven't had a game with them.)

Ill-Gotten Gains and Governor warp the game too much towards one particular strategy.

Cultist is too swingy: if you and I both go for Cultist and manage to buy two of them, and you luck into a chain where you play them both on the same turn while I don't, you now have a huge advantage. 7-3 splits on the Ruins are quite common, and too hard to come back from.

Knights: Just annoying.

Wall: Likewise.

Rebuild: Same objection as IGG and Governor, but even more so. As others above have noted, Rebuild lets you skip building your deck: just get $5 a couple of times and go straight to greening. Since the fun of the game is in building your deck, why would I want to play this game?

Scrying Pool: leads to games with too much downtime between your turns.

Keep: Someone upthread said this warps the game too much, and I agree. (He actually prompted me to add this to my list just now.)

As of next Sunday, Goko is gone.  Fine.  So: on that Sunday, I wake up in the morning and decide I want to start off my day with a game of Dominion. What do I do?

I've been looking around the forums here and on BGG, including reading the FAQ here for Dominion Online 2017, and I find that most basic of questions is not answered. It's been rather frustrating, really.

Just played this one against Blooki:

I started Moneylender/Silver, he started Potion/Silver.  From there I went basically Big Money, with one Bridge for +Buy and a couple of Treasures.  He tried to construct a megaturn engine with Universities and Bridges and one Outpost.  The problem was that his drawing card was Council Room, which meant that while he was using Council Room to try to build up his engine, he was accelerating my Big Money.  At game's end, he'd bought 6 Council Rooms, and 8 Treasuries, and 9 Bridges, and still hadn't quite ever managed a megaturn; meanwhile I'd already acquired half the Provinces and 3 Duchies.  On the very last turn, he played an Outpost...and then bought the last two Universities -- 3-piling the game!  I'm not quite sure whether that was a blunder on his part, or whether it was his way of resigning.
