I still don't understand any of it, but I don't have Stash.

Only if it's in the trash pile when Necromancer is out.

I did a mini-review of the first 5 here....

FWIW, try to value them by how much you'll actually use them.  Sure, the regular sets come with many more cards, but it wouldn't be saying much if you didn't like say, half of them.

As far as the rest of them go, Summons isn't too shabby, nor Dismantle.
You lost all credibility to me when you rated Governor and Stash as 5/5, but Black Market only 3/5.

Based on the pattern, I assume Prince would get a rating of 8/5?

It would get a 3.6/5. Not great, but not terrible.

Something weird with if you want to market a game for younger than that, you have to pay yourself to have it tested for lead (you know, in case the 12 year olds eat the cards.)

Probably. But that's the fun of it. You know you'll probably be wrong anyway, so you might as well make a guess. Besides, if you seat a monkey at a typewriter and give it infinite time, it will eventually produce Hamlet.

Actually, they've done studies, and it turns out that's not true; monkeys have a bias towards producing terminal draw, not discarding pseudo-villages.

Yesterday I won a game that ended on piles - Duchy, Duke, and Duchess. Maybe not unusual, but it seemed thematically appropriate.

"Ruined Dominion" - Landmark

All cards cost $1 less this game.

I started out sorting by color, but I realized sorting by type makes more sense.

One fun thing to consider: if we posted lists with commentary straight to the wiki, it wouldn't be too difficult to make them sortable any way anyone wanted. It would be hard to keep them a "surprise" that way, though.

What if someone wanted them to not be sortable at all?

Dominion General Discussion / Re: Best Kingdom Names?

One of my favorite kingdom names is "Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta".

Doesn't hold a candle to the "Thunder Dragon Kingdom."

Ruined Library does frustrate me, just like when people make a mess of our shelf displays.

Some people are still playing with more than 2 players.

Hey, you're back! How was . . . where were you?

So we have to tie every game?

The proper term is "rejoice in your shared victory."

I play IRL usually once a week. (Sunday night, with my wife, after the kids have gone to bed.) I've never played online.

I've never played online.

I have all cards but the promos.

Peddler or any Peddler variant.

I found myself intentionally buying 2 coppers a turn for several turns the other day.

(Double Tac, needed the coppers to fuel the Foragers so I could buy a province a turn.)

Even little things like moving Provs to deck top to flip away with Pools can be pretty amazing.
I don't know what this means but it kinda sounds even more illegal than pot.

By which you mean potions, right?

Dominion: Renaissance Previews / Re: Renaissance name BINGO

Maybe the next Dominion expansion is Dominion: In Space, to avoid this problem.

Space Merchant is the best card in the expansion.

I wonder...

If you have a Watchtower in hand and Spice Merchant in the supply, is a $4 buy for 2 coin tokens and 2 Villagers a good deal?

Spice Tower

Event - $4

Gain 2 Coffers and 2 Villagers

Dominion: Renaissance Previews / Re: Dominion: Renaissance on RGG's website

They are planned for Monday, and as usual any unforeseen delays in the physical product will not delay the previews.

The day after my birthday, alas.

In honor of the greatest Renaissance of all time, it will be . . . a Deinonychus claw.

I interpret the Fool's Gold flavor as a commentary on fiat currency.  The more Fool's Gold gets used and accepted as currency, the more value it has.  Unlike Silver and Gold, the value isn't in the commodity itself, but in its use as a medium of exchange.

What's the conversion rate of Fool's Gold to Schrute Bucks?

I am confused by what this thread is becoming.

Why? Are you new here?
