I think the top is good. I don't like the bottom. I'd recommend "When another player plays an Attack card, you may reveal this from your hand. If you do, you are not affected by any attacks after this one until you next turn."
Still a good defence against toturer, rabble or familiar stacks, etc.
But that would not be any different from Moat. Maybe if you discarded it to gain some benefit. Gaining an Attack card is the first thing that comes to my mind, not saying it would be balanced.

I think the +buy token is worth less than the +Coin one because you want to put the tokens on piles you have many cards of and you don't necessarily need more than 4 buys in many cases. +8 coins and +1 buy is better than +8 buys and +1 coin.
You need only a few extra buys, and you won't get more than a couple of Ruined Markets.

All jokes aside, those options (first, second, sixth, bottom) as buttons would be strongly appreciated.

I think the first option would be the better one. Just look at logs of some of the best players and see how many engine games they played in their overall games. Of course just count full random games and games that were won by an engine player.
Both methods have flaws, the first one has the disadvantage that players might not see an available engine and play something else, which can be compensated by looking at the games of the very best as suggested. The second one seems nearly impossible to do correctly as all cards and their interactions cannot be taken into consideration just by categorizing the cards.

No, that is way too weak, pretty much just a less flexible Scheme you can only use every other turn.

I'm surprised I'm the only one who voted Merchant Ship. [] Merchant Ship really wants Wharf's +Buy.

I suppose I am the only one that voted Wharf, but just to break the trend of not releasing strictly better or worse cards than the existing ones at the same cost: remove Wharf's +buy and put it on Merchant Ship. Lookout has a less frustrating sibling (Sentry). Pearl Diver, Navigator and Pirate Ship do not seem to be controversial choices.

I like that there still is no card strictly better than the removed one at the same cost, Great Hall might look even sadder besides Mill, but that is about it. Bandit can't steal Kingdom Treasures and Platinum but kind of pales Thief in comparison (which card doesn't, though).
Thanks for the new cards, they look interesting as all new cards do. Again, you can just praise the Donald X's work.

Btw, the extra and in the Base Set as well as more non-terminals look good, however, I would have preferred an extra plain +buy card over the extra gainer.

I like Robber. It reminds me of an idea I had:

which I liked a little better as

Each player puts their -1 Card Token on top of their deck.

Robber seems to be a better implementation of especially the latter idea.

The German publisher announced a new Promo card for Spiel 2016 in Essen.

It is a split pile, Sauna and Avanto:

4 - Action
+1 Card

You may play an Avanto from your hand.
While this is in play, when you play a Silver, you may trash a card from your hand.

5 - Action
+3 Cards

You may play a Sauna from your hand.

Note that these are my translations of the German cards, not the official names or wordings.

This actually makes Scout an awesome card as it helps you to answer the latter question. We all misplayed Scout, Roadrunner was right all along.

I like Report as well, propably a must buy on a 3/4 opening, though. I do not think you should be able to gain cards costing . The difference between and is that you cannot open with a card barring edge cases, during the course of the game the difference tends to become marginal. The Chancellor effect on this card with the strong gaining is huge early on as well. Comparing Report to Annex (gain a Duchy and shuffle all but up to 5 cards into your deck for ), I do not think Report needs a buff anyway.

I wonder if you could make an Event involving potions that does something appropriate and has a below-line:

Setup: All cards cost $P more this game.

(Or maybe all cards and events.)

Would really wonk-up gainers (in most cases make them useless), and also all those deck-destroying cards (Knights, Sab, etc.), and likely make the game really long.  Or maybe it could be only 'All Victory cards'; that way it wouldn't cripple so many cards.

You can't since you would never be able to buy Potion. However, only making Victory cards cost P more would definitely make Potion cost cards more viable.

You could also make it a Reserve card that you call at the start of an opponent's clean-up-phase. In multiplayer, that could lead to interesting decisions, and in 2p-games at least it would be harder to counter the card.

I don't like cards where it's either: Everyone should buy them or no one should buy them, like Knights.

If no one starts buying them, there isn't much of an incentive to get one. But if your opponent goes for them, you're pretty much forced to fight them just to deny them some Castles.

With Knights, the next card in the pile may be better, may be worse, you don't know, so you can just gamble and get the top one anyway.
Here, you know that the next Castle will actually be better, so the best strategy is to wait, but your opponent is also waiting and in the end, no one buys them.

My fear is that it will be a waste of a kingdom slot more often than not.

I'd love to hear some playtesting comments about this. However it would suck if playtesters just endlessly spoiled the journey of discovery for everyone on all of the new cards, really when you think about it would make it just plain bad to have previews at all, so no, no playtesters will be speaking up, shucks.

I am not a playtester, but on first glance the fact that the first Castle is worth 1 per castle you have might actually be an incentive to buy the first Castle and hope to get more later on, especially the last two.

Maybe it is an event that lets you choose a card to bid for, and players bid in order how many debt tokens they will take to buy it.

Yes, the MMF End Actions/Turn-button-placement would be very appreciated. I wasted like 6 turns in 2 testing games because of it, I feel like the End Turn button is located where the Play Treasures button used to be.
