With Bishop/Chapel here you could've gone for the golden deck. I feel like that could've outraced the silk road slog, although with ambassador I guess you could always pick that up and try to throw some extra crap at the other player to mess it up. Pretty interesting different approaches there!

Yes, I didn't even think about Golden Deck but it very well may have been the best option.

Tdog Defeats Yed 3-0-2.

Game 1: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130506/log.51102b6ee4b06719e45eef9d.1367867903240.txt Tdog 20- Yed 20

A sea hag game where we both transition into a juicy engine powered by cities, wharves, and bridges. We both build up after the curses are depleted then on turn 19 for him and 20 for me we grab province and 3 estates. He ends it thereafter with a city and 2x estate buy to deplete 3 piles. A very even game here, I get the tie due to a victory in the cursing war.

Game 2: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130506/log.51102b6ee4b06719e45eef9d.1367868701165.txt Tdog 26- Yed 26

Yeah, that's right, 2 ties in a row! The name of this game was rebuild. Our decks end up looking very similar, I grab a few more rebuilds, he gets a ghost ship and more silvers. An interesting decision popped up in the middle here, with the duchies gone. Do you name estate, risking province-province, or province risking estate into estate/feodum. On the last turn I name estate, turn province back into itself, leading to the tie.

Game 3: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130506/log.51102b6ee4b06719e45eef9d.1367869416662.txt Tdog 84- Yed 77

A game with 161 points without colony! He goes for a trashed down bishop into stables plan, while I go for silk roads. Silk roads had a a decent amount of support, with island providing a disappearing green card. He trashes almost everything in his deck, causing him to get a lot of vp chips but a limp into the finish. I grab 25 VP cards, good for 6 point Silk Roads and the win. Cool to see a game with ambassador and chapel left behind.

Game 4: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130506/log.51102b6ee4b06719e45eef9d.1367870057161.txt Tdog 25- Yed 25 (Tdog on turns).

Yeah, yet another tie score here! This one was very interesting, with 4 curses and 4 "counters" (Masq, menagerie as bane, moat, junk dealer). I grab the 5-2 split, and elect to avoid curses to go for heavy trashing/defense with junk dealer and moat. He just grabs the single sea hag, in the end only 2 curses are distributed, and I trash them both. We both kept our decks very simple, with death cart here for mid game momentum. I break PPR on the second to last turn, and then he picks up the last province, ending it with a tie, and giving me the win on turns.

Game 5: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130506/log.51102b6ee4b06719e45eef9d.1367870702958.txt Tdog 30- Yed 27

This was most likely the least interesting of the bunch. Not much going on, with knights the only okayish card. I get sir michael vs natalie, which gives me a nice advantage there. Otherwise, I grab a few mystics, and pull out the win.

Thanks for the games yed! I think all were very very close, and a bunch of interesting boards. Good luck with the rest of the way!

I'm a little late, but Hsiale defeats Tdog 3-1

Game 1: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130502/log.50893139a2e67cff211cd7e5.1367523344470.txt  Hsiale 41- Tdog 30
A pretty simple governor game here, the only real difference coming in first turn navigator vs. lookout. I'm not sure what happened, either he had much better shuffles or navigator is better (very possible). Also, I think I should have broken PPR on turn 11, our decks were fading and it would have tied it up.

Game 2:http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130502/log.50893139a2e67cff211cd7e5.1367523726502.txt Hsiale 50- Tdog 31
So we both went mostly BM, he went bureacrat and I went with noble brigand. Bureaucrat was the better option it seemed, as I kept hitting copper-estate, gaining nothing and not giving a copper. He also got 6 hands in the beginning while I was getting 5s, giving him golds over my highways.

Game 3: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130502/log.50893139a2e67cff211cd7e5.1367524007204.txt Tdog 21- Hsiale resigned

This one is pretty simple,a familiar game where he gets $P2. I give him all 10 curses while he tries to trash down by  way of altar and forge, but he is swamped in curses and gets the loss.

Game 4: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130502/log.50893139a2e67cff211cd7e5.1367524261233.txt Hsiale 25- Tdog 13

IGG game here. He gets a 5-2 start, giving me a curse before the reshuffle. I'm always down one in the IGG war, and can't overcome it and get the loss.

Good series Hsiale despite the fact game 3 and 4 were almost from basically the beginning. Good luck the rest of the way.

Werothegreat defeats Tdog 3-2

Game 1: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130424/log.505c6195a2e6c78ad2ed5a99.1366840545708.txt Wero 25- Tdog 19

An interesting game here with an engine fueled by swindler, hamlet and bazaar with chapel to trash down. My chapel and swindler collide a bunch in the first few turns, coupled by his 5-2 start which I think is better here. He also picks up a council room, which helps him wade through the end game.

Game 2: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130424/log.505c6195a2e6c78ad2ed5a99.1366840986584.txt Tdog 36- Wero 33

A pretty basic embassy big money game here, I get the win mainly due to first turn. I think smithy was slightly better then silver turn 1, but not by much.

Game 3: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130424/log.505c6195a2e6c78ad2ed5a99.1366841551832.txt Wero 25- Tdog 19

A rebuild game here, and I really had no chance against the rebuild master himself  ;). This one included tunnel to help out a ton, leading to a very fast game. I don't grab my first rebuild until turn 6, which does me in.

Game 4: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130424/log.505c6195a2e6c78ad2ed5a99.1366842232759.txt Tdog 53- Wero 33

The first one with really diverging strategies. I played very simple council room big money, while he goes for a much more interesti ng strategy. His goal is to use oasis to discard all of his coppers and then play poor house for big bucks, however, the board was lacking a plus action, which was needed to play multiple poor houses and get lots of buys with nomad camp.

Game 5: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130425/log.505c6195a2e6c78ad2ed5a99.1366928268135.txt  Wero 43- Tdog 20

This was a cultist game plus tournament, with the winner of the tournament most likely winning the game with followers. He pulls a turn five province and then followers soon thereafter, thus burying my chances of victory under a pile of curses. I try towards the end to transition into rebuild (forgetting it was a shelters game), but alas I come up short.

Thanks for the game werothegreat, they were fun and the first one was especially tense. Good luck in the rest of the tournament!

Game 1:

I tried something like Jack into Goons/Workers Village/Pawn with KC support. Yeah well, not that great, but there's Goons and there's KC, so there you are. Tdog couldn't get to $6 and thus transitioned into some Silk Road thing, which I try to contest eventually. Of course this screws my already wonky engine, and I have trouble aligning things. I'm quite sure I should have focused more on building up, especially buying more Goons, but after I've contested him on SRs, there's no real turning back, and I grab some Provinces. At some point he just 3-piles himself and takes the loss.

I think that grabbing the silk roads won you the game, as I had a pretty easy path to a three pile ending.

kn1tt3r Defeats Tdog 3-0

Game 1: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130414/log.505c84d751c3249282789115.1365966461057.txt kn1tt3r 40- Tdog 32

We both started jack, while I transition into Silk Roads and he goes into goons. I didn't get enough of the silk roads, splitting them 4-4. I also made a mistake on turn 12 going duchy instead of estate estate, I would have been able to end it a little earlier and would have had a better chance
Game 2: http://dominionlogs.goko.com/20130414/log.505c84d751c3249282789115.1365967174996.txt kn1tt3r 50- Tdog 20

Yeah, not my best work here. I had this great plan to get rats to infest my deck, then remake them all into duchies. I made many mistakes here (the first trying this crazy strategy). I should've embargoed the provinces more, it would've slowed him down more and given me a chance to empty a third pile, which would have been graverobbers. I think this would work, but needs some villages to play more than 1 remake, and a gainer to give the rats fuel while emptying a third pile. Trying to use rats was fun, just not the right place.

Game 3: http://dom.retrobox.eu/?/20130414/log.505c84d751c3249282789115.1365967576358.txt kn1ttr 36- Tdog 35
kn1tt3r won it by one. It was a tunnel game, with tacticians and warehouses to provide great support for it. I had forgotten that he bought an island a few turns ago, and should have gone province duchy instead of province x2 on my last turn.

Thanks for the games, my lack of playing recently showed with a few bonehead mistakes. Good luck in the rest of the tournament!

I thought dominion had been solved by only buying treasure and victory cards. Should I add bureaucrat into this strategy as well?

Yeah, it's frustrating right now. I haven't purchased the cards either yet and the last two games (with just base cards) my opponent quit as soon as I bought the first province. Hopefully that changes...

And it took A WHILE to find a game.

I've never seen anyone quit after the first province, so maybe you just got unlucky.

Goko Dominion: Connectivity, Security, and Platforms
Can you provide us some assurance that you are staying ahead of new security concerns? For instance, do you have a third party doing periodic checks on things?
JQS: We believe we’re up to speed and respond to anything that looks like a security issue quickly. So far we’re doing well. As mentioned in the thread, we don’t touch anything to do with credit cards or payment systems (most web sites don’t). We will have periodic reviews but that doesn’t really mean nothing will happen in the future... even large entities like Yahoo/Google/Microsoft despite their large dedicated security teams still have to address problems when they arise.

Now there was 350 ish people playing or in the isotropc lobby, and 260 in the Goko lobby or playing. While Goko isn't at the level of iso, it's not doing bad and will most likely grow when iso goes down.

I just tried to buy in.
Tried the ToS link and got 404 error!

So I think I will not a paying yet.

Get rid of the play at the front of that link and it should work fine.

Hmm I think marauder is kind of underrated here. While ruins aren't as bad ad curses they still kill any not great big money strategy. And an engine needs some sort of fast way to get rid of them. Sure they lose head to head with curses, but if they're the only option they're still bad. And the spoils are a nice bonus.

I think the shelter issue is the biggest one remaining. It's not too difficult to understand either. My 99 cent card picker app can figure out jeez Goko can too.
