Title: Google Image Challenge 5
Post by: Ozle on March 28, 2013, 05:54:15 am
This is the first of what I call 'The Easy ones', however that all depends on the person that looks at it.

They say No Man is an Island, but lets assume he is.
One of the exits will take you to the city of birds
Go past the eponymous building
To the seat of learning is named after a Little Wood

Looks to me like a country with right-hand traffic, but only for the white lorry in the upper right.

Another thing learned: Most of the native birds in Guam have been eaten by snakes.

That lorry is actually parked
Bloody lorry drivers.

After trying Isle of Man and its 4 "exits" it seems like a dead end. I just can't find the city of birds.

So, probably another man island, but the list is long:

Spoiler: I don't think anyone outside the UK will get the City of Birds and Eponymous building, I only really including it for completeness. So in light of that I feel I should tell you Isle of Man is the correct starting point.

Easy if you are british to be honest, very hard if you are not.

Well, I'm not british...
Hint:
Just checking the "exit"s QVist mentioned, it's not hard to find a road that looks like above, which is required for the image to be found.

Maybe I don't know what an exit is...  That's exactly the path I was working on before saying 'ugh'

Well we know we're looking at The Isle of Man, and we're looking on Google Maps. What exits do you see?

Found this one with the help of the clues here. It's not easy for non-UK people! I still don't get half the clues (especially the last line), but I found the place!
