I was introduced to Dominion a little over a year ago when I was given Intigue. One of the first games I played had Scout/Wishing Well and I think it may have also had Harem in it as well. Seeing the way those three interacted really hooked me. I now own every set and have since understood Scout rarely every shines as a good card, but it taught me to try to find ways for others cards to interact. So while I don't "love" the Scout I definitely don't hate it.
I play a decent amount of 4 Players games IRL and they really don't like any strong attacks but I do. (Rabble, Goons, Sabatuor, etc.)

There's generally a lot of hate for cards that tend to become the singular focus of the game--that's boring. It also doesn't combo with anything interestingly--Tunnel is a nombo since you don't want to be clogged with Gold, and picking up +Actions and using them before discarding the hand is both easy and obvious.
In a lot of Minion kingdoms, there's no real room for creativity, the dominant strategy is just to gun for Minions. And the attack is just strong enough to be annoying, but not exceptionally powerful.

I don't think Contraband is a GREAT card, but I like it a lot and I think it's underrated. It has definite uses in some engines and alt VP games

I really like Goons.
All of these except for the Swindler. I think they are amazing. I played a game yesterday in a goons engine, "I play a king's court on a king's court on a moat, a council room, and a king's court, on three goons (he had a moat in his hand). I buy two colonies, five moats (ending the game), an estate, and a bunch of coppers giving me 30-40 VP.

So, IGG is the first that comes to my mind. I don't understand why so much people hate it, I think this card much more fun than witch-mountebank-torturer, because it changes the dynamic of the game a lot, and there are some cool tricks to do with cards like remake and develop.
I also enjoy playing with loan and Sea Hag.
Finally I love Saboteur. Well, maybe I don't love it, but I really like it and don't understand why a so not-scary attack is so much hated.

I hate Sab because when I see people buy it in most situations, I know that
1. I'm probably winning the game, and
2. It's going to take way longer and be a lot less fun than any other game I could be playing.
Basically, for a lot of people (and I'm one of them), part of the fun is building things. Sab cuts hard into that because it doesn't really let you build things, and there's not usually a ton of strategy involved with it.

For some reason I just really love that card. I think many people tend to apply the "luck factor" to it a bit too much. There are lots of really good strategical points with that card that I think are underutilized.

Loan is nice with Minion. So is Spice Merchant. So is Conspirator. So is Tournament. So is Haggler....there are plenty of cards that go nicely with Minion.

BTW, Minion-tunnel is NOT a nombo. Without other enablers, Minion-tunnel beats straight up Minion - it's really close, but I think it wins. You're not making a Minion engine there, you're using Minion as a tunnel enabler (and also piggy-backing off the other guy's minions as enablers for your tunnels! If they do that. If they don't, well...)

Yeah. I'm just saying that Minion can have help... and not every kingdom with Minion is dominated by it.

Minion can be a single card strategy, but it's at its best when you're using it to be the engine part of an engine - if you have decent to good terminals and enough villages (fishing is even better than normal here, also festival, because this is actually a draw-to-X-engine). I can't tell you how many times it's been the key card in goons games.
Having said that, I don't terribly care for minion.

The thing I dislike about Minion is not that it doesn't work well with other cards, but that the attack is so frustrating and random. It can turn a hand of 5 great cards into a hand of 4 crappy cards. That's far worse than what any other attack does.

I like Pirate Ship, and I think it's a better card than a lot of people give it credit for.

Yeah, while I switched to the iso Masq in solidarity, someone else picked up Pirate Ship.

I love Peddler just because I like to work in a game where I buy Peddlers for nothing. Or even 2 coin would be fine.
My wife hated it for the longest time because she got annoyed when I would pick up three Peddlers in a turn. She wasn't as interested as I was in acquiring it (sometimes to the detriment of actually scoring).
