This (http://dominion.isotropic.org/gamelog/201301/21/game-20130121-125707-c6ed6da4.html) was not really a great moment for me, but I think it might be funny to see. I was happy that I can forge some cards into a Colony:Code: [Select]— GwinnR's turn 22 —

This was in 2012, but someone once passed me a torturer with a masquerade...
Yeah, I've definitely won some games on this. Heck, I've passed a card like this over copper in a lot of cases where they don't have another action to play it.This was in 2012, but someone once passed me a torturer with a masquerade...
That may not have been a misclick, depending on what else was in their hand.

2012, I missclicked a passed a Colony on MSQ... too bad logs can' show that.
My opponent even offered to MSQ it back.
In 2011 I accidentally mined a platinum instead of whatever else I had in my hand. Wouldn't be too bad except platinums were all gone.Great punchline. :)

Here's a lovely "misclick." In this game, I'm going for a Scrying Pool engine. My opponent doesn't even have a potion, so once I buy my ninth Scrying Pool, I alone have control over the depletion of the last pile (Pawns and Grand Markets were empty, but no other piles were close). I have a decent position here, since I'm able to end the game with a lead as long as I can buy the last SP and enough VP; but my opponent doesn't have that option.
We're at my Turn 16 now:
My SPs are overdrawing my deck at this point, so I have my deck in hand with some GMs and Pawns left to play. Almost on auto-pilot, I play an Upgrade, thinking I'll trash the Potion into a Duchy for some extra points. Once I clicked to trash the Potion, I realized my mistake. Without a Potion, I can't 3-pile on this turn, possibly opening the door for my opponent! I'd have to buy the Potion back that turn and hope to get another turn with the option to end it on a win.
I was talking to my opponent on Skype at the time, so once I did that, we both talked about how screwed that made me for a bit. Before that, I had enough to just buy two Colonies and an SP, which would have been enough to win; Trying to maximize points, I just potentially threw away the game!
Then I realized there was still a way around it...

Operation: edge case: Find a case where you'd actually want to trash the Cache and topdeck two coppers. I think I can do it, although explaining the topdecking is a little harder.
Operation: edge case: Find a case where you'd actually want to trash the Cache and topdeck two coppers. I think I can do it, although explaining the topdecking is a little harder. You have Tortured your opponent down to 0 cards in hand, topdecked a Forager, a Fortress and a Native Village (mat contains 10 King's Courts and nine Foragers) with Courtyard and need to buy 4 Provinces to end and win the game. The trash contains a Copper and a Silver. You need to trash the Cache for the Foragers to produce enough $, and even though you probably won't need to topdeck the coppers, doing so will ensure that you will have the required $32.

How do you topdeck 3 cards with courtyard? And why not trash cache with forager?I'm still recovering from the over 4-hour concert that I played at yesterday, and apparently it shows. Then let's say you've topdecked them with Armory instead. If you topdeck Cache, your hand will be either Cache, Copper, Forager, NV, Fortress or Cache, Copper, Copper, Forager, Fortress (with NV on top of the deck) and unless I fail to see something here, the first alternative will make $31 unless Fortress draws you $ because there is no second copper, and the second alternative will force you into playing the Fortress, and then you'll have to trash the coppers and some Foragers, which won't be enough for 4 Province buys either.

Ugh, just lost a game on a misclick.Maybe there should be an optional confirm button for end turn.

It was not end of turn. I played my actions, had 2$ and 2 buys, adn didn't play treasures. Than I wanted to buy 2 Estates, and I clicked on buy estate, than I realized I didn't play treasures. Iso would always ask you "are you sure" if you didn't play your treasures and you start buying..Oh yeah. Well, that would be good as well.
Apparently, when he reshuffled, the player next to the Curse pile picked up his "discard" pile which was the last nine Curses; that's why the Curses ran out so quickly. My brother once almost shuffled the trash pile (full of Coppers and Curses) into his deck. He caught himself quickly enough to sort it back out though.

Here's a face-to-face equivalent of a misclick.
4-player game with Baker and Soothsayer; everyone opened 5/3 as Soothsayer/Village or Soothsayer/Silver. This led to a lot of quick plays of Soothsayer, as each play of Soothsayer caused everyone else to draw a card, putting Soothsayers into their hands and cycling the decks.
Wow, the Curse pile ran out quickly; that must be the result of all the Soothsayer plays.
With the Curses gone, Soothsayers producing a lot of gold, and Journeymen skipping curses, three of the four players had a lot of money and bought up the Provinces. The fourth player kept on getting stuck with a lot of Curses (at least two turns with four Curses and a copper) and could never get anywhere.
When the game ended and we counted up the score, the Curse split turned out to be 4/5/6/15. Apparently, when he reshuffled, the player next to the Curse pile picked up his "discard" pile which was the last nine Curses; that's why the Curses ran out so quickly.
I a totally mirror match with Chapel and Treasure Map I clicked "end turn" instead of "play treasures" with 10$ in hand. :-(

There seems to be an epidemic of this going around. I had three consecutive opponents buy a curse after Swindling a Shelter yesterday. It's not a misclick, but today I learned the valuable lesson that a BoM-based golden deck won't seem like such a good idea when the Bishops run out (http://gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20150226/log.53ddf71fe4b09f0d8fe135bc.1425016706821.txt).Did you also manage to travel back in time to 2013 as well? If so, that's super-cool!!
It was going so smoothly! Luckily my strategy was trash-then-gain rather than gain-then-trash, so I already had all the treasure I needed for a Province every turn when my golden deck lost its golden-ness.
Three points behind. One Province and no Duchies left. I have $7 and Swindler....which hit Province.
I mean, you can't do so many misclicks with swindler. I think the one of Tombolo was bad luck, but he had to play the Swindler. The one of your opponent was only bad play. He should not play the Swindler, because there was the chance of hitting the Province and he didn't need to play it.
I mean, you can't do so many misclicks with swindler.
This happened to me in a World Cup match (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJLsnRsDU_M&t=31m0s)Yeah, I know about this. But it is such a long way to click, where the buttons are...but I thinks I am not smart enough to play without it... ;-)
Luckily, the most recent version of the Salvager extention (I think it might be the beta version?) prevents misclicks like this from happening. I suggest you look into it :)
Not miss-clicks but I have a couple of times tried to be too clever for my own good when attempting to end games.

I had a slight lead and there was 1 province remaining. Unfortunately I only had 6 to spend. I then had the bright idea that I could buy Farmland, trash the province in my hand and gain the last province that way :-[. My opponent bought that last province on his next turn and won.

Unless "slight" means 4 or more points, then it wouldn't have mattered if you knew the exact wording of Farmland and bought a Duchy instead.

A lead of 3 would still matter as second player.
I will never forgive myself for this. (http://www.gokosalvager.com/static/logprettifier.html?20150516/log.53ddf71fe4b09f0d8fe135bc.1431841412943.txt)

Accidentally buying Tournament instead of Counterfeit on turns 3 and 5? Yeah, those were pretty bad misclicks.
Not really a misclick, but, uh, Herald and Tactician, uh, they don't mix.Except if you throne a herald and it hits Tactician TWICE!
(I guess there's no newer thread)
Play Herald, triggers Courtyard. Looks at hand containing KC, Trade Route, Gold, two Silvers, Copper, Copper, Necropolis
Oh yay, I can KC-Trade Route out the junk and buy a Grand Market!
Clicks KC to "play" it (KC goes on top of deck)
Clicks Trade Route to "play it with KC" and trash a Copper. This does trash but uses last action.
Clicks on a second copper to also "trash" it. This plays the copper.
Now KC is on top of the deck and a copper is in play so can't buy a Grand Market.
Make a new misclicks thread! But still sad. :(

We don't need a million threads just because it's a different year now.

Alright, then just make a Misclicks thread without a year. Problem solved.

Or just keep using this thread which has been working out just fine for over three years already.
We could get shark_bait to change the thread title.

But then the nostalgia is gone. ;)
it is possible that I could be bribed....
