Title: The Fine Art of Dominion
Post by: aaron0013 on September 04, 2012, 10:53:06 pm
Get out your microscopes!  Okay, maybe not microscopes....but I think this will be pretty challenging.  If not, I’ve got harder ones ;)

I have cropped out a small section from various cards throughout any or all the expansions, and your job is to guess which cards they come from.  You are allowed to look up the card pictures in any way you want to, since it would be pretty hard to do without them.  The first one to guess all 7 correctly will get the prize of overwhelming satisfaction!

Feel free to post any other art-related challenges on this thread!

Oh well. I guess this was harder than I thought. Never fear! Underdog is......not here.......but I've got a few hints.

The first is a small hint, but it could help: there are one each from base, intrigue, seaside, and cornucopia, and the other 3 are from DA.

Yeah, not that great of a hint. #2 is better:  image #3 is from intrigue

And #3 is a dead giveaway:  image #1 is from ruined mine!

Well, I hope that stirs your interest a bit. Don't be afraid to post a guess even if it's wrong ;)

Yeah, I'm tempted to post a few individual pixels cropped from cards to see if people can figure out which they're from.

Maybe if you made it a bit bigger.  Since I don't own all the sets, I would have a fair amount of trouble even if you posted the full image. :P

Good guesses.....#2 is actually the inside of something and #3 is from the lower left corner of an intrigue card.

#5 should be really easy. Look carefully.....

Methinks this would be a lot easier if the images were easier(and larger).  So I made a whole new batch ready for you to guess at.

Same rules, but 7 different cards!

Original #7 is Gardens.

New #3 is Hermit.

Nice job! Both are correct!  Has anyone else noticed the weird human-looking thing in the tree on #3?  I didn't till I made this challenge....It's kinda creepy :o

#6: Not quite, but good try. you are right that it is from DA though.

All cards in this challenge are from diehrstraits, and yes original #2 is not cellar....think cornucopia....

Omg it took me this many posts to realize that you are not in fact, cayvie.

Original #5 is definitely Horn of Plenty.

Haha! That's crazy. I actually had this avatar before I had seen anyone else with trusty steed. I think thirtyseven and I are the only ones now.

Oh....BTW you might want to look over your last answer. I think you meant to say something else ;)

The old ones are too tiny for me.
Some guesses for the new ones:

#1 Salvager?
#5 Bag of Gold?

NO, new one #5 is Horn of Plenty.

IS original #5 King's Court

@Qvist very close for #1...I knew someone would get those mixed up.  Also, Grujah is correct on new #5.
@Grujah the original #5 is not KC. Here's a hint: there are no people in original #5; it is one large object

Then #1 is probably __Bank__?
And I can't see why #5 should be Horn of Plenty, where is this part of the picture?

With the exeption of #1, I took a piece of one of the main objects in each picture.  You still don't quite have #1, but #5 is from the candlestick on HoP
