Hi Guys!
This is Trisha over at Goko. I'm going to be doing a live Q&A session Thursday, August 23 at 3pm Pacific Time. Remember that's Pacific Time for all you non-pacific time people. :-)
Secondly, I'm going to try to do is via GoogleHangouts. Since I haven't used Google Hangouts before, I'm working on getting it setup and making sure it works right now. If we have technical difficulties, I'll set something up and do it via text, but that's only a backup plan.
I'm going to start by answering the questions from everyone that greatexpectations brought together. Like to give a little shout out to that awesome help. Thank you, greatexpectations! :-)
After that, I'll take a few more questions. The questions right now are being shared internally and will be answered by the experts. Though I understand programming and what we are doing, I'm not a programmer, so I will do my best to explain things in my layman terms. If I can't answer a question during the meeting, I'll ask you to email me the question and I'll make sure an answer is received by those who can in more technical terms than myself and I'll post any further answers or questions on the forums as time permits.
As soon as I have this hangouts thing figured out. I'll post a link and get you more information on how to get there.

I am not familiar with google hangouts either. But for those of us no in U.S. so it's the middle of the night. Can you post the transcript or a viewing we can watch afterwards/

FYI, Google Hangouts can only hold a total of 10 participants. You can broadcast to YouTube as a Live Stream, but then you'd have to set up a way for those people to submit questions/responses.

It has to be PDT. I have never heard someone give a time with the wrong Standard/Daylight intentionally.

I think the plan is a Hangout "on air", which allows up to 10 participants (presumably Goko employees), and then to submit questions via a live f.ds topic.

Thought maybe there was some part of Idaho or Nevada or something that doesn't observe Daylight Savings Time.

The majority of Arizona doesn't observe DST, but everywhere else does. Indiana used to divided in a similar manner due to SE IN being a suburb of Cincinnati and NW IN being a suburb of Chicago.
Maybe we should just use GMT or UTC? The hangout is happening at 2200 UTC.

Anyone know a good way to make a quick transcript other than typing everything out? I can research this, but sometimes it's better to just ask. :)

Youtube makes automatic transcripts when the video has been up a bit, though they can be a little dodgy, especially if a speaker has a strong accent/lisp/something.

I'll be in the hangout as well. However, since I'll be at work, I won't have a webcam or mic and so I won't actually be visible in the hangout.
But my purpose will be a silent moderator; the plan is to create another forum topic for you all to respond to, live. I can cull comments and questions from there and ask them directly via chat.

nah, it's all good. i was starting to wonder myself. the reason for the confusion is likely that theory's initial post (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=4080.msg87245#msg87245) said that the Q&A session was going to occur today.

I once showed up at an airport a full day before my flight, and I didn't figure it out until the chick at the ticket counter pointed it out to me. This was not in my home town, and I'd checked out of my hotel, so my buddy and I slept at the airport. So...don't feel bad. :P

I've done this as well. I used to travel alot for work - and either forgot about a holiday - or had just booked the ticket for the wrong day.
