Title: BGG Store Tournament Sign Ups
Post by: yuma on August 20, 2012, 10:00:43 pm
Sign up here:

Find rules here (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=3848.0) for the tournament.

I have no idea if we are going to get this done, but I hope we will. Signups will go until Thursday at 11:59 pm forum time. With the start of the tournament on Friday. I haven't received word yet if non-Americans will be eligible for the prize (a Dominion promo cards care package" or not. I'll let you know asap.

Also, when you sign up, if you have a preference for whether or not to use the point counter extension, PM me immediately. A non-PM will indicate that you don't care.

I should also mention that participant selection may be based partially on a first-come first-serve basis, so sign up sooner rather than later.

Go, go, go!

I am interested in signing up. I use the point counter, but not the Google extension if that is what you're talking about. So, point counter is okay. Extensions are not.

Sign me up.

I don't mind the isotropic basic counter but any augmentation of the browser through some kind of extension or something is not really cool with me.

Also, I will be unable to play until probably 8/28 although I can make the 2-day contact window without much issue; I will be travelling across the country over this coming weekend.

For those of you who asked:

Hi Yuma!

Isotropic will not be closing down tomorrow. Until Goko us completely up and running, open for everyone, and completely stable we will not be taking down isotropic. Also, if you need anything from us. Let me know. :-) And let me know who wins!

- Trisha

As such we can host the tournament on isotropic and if we hurry will likely be able to finish it.

Also, Kristine over at BGG Store is awesome. She said that all non-American players will be eligible for the prize and won't have to pay for postage, they will cover it completely. However, from what I understand the cards will be in English.

I am a little surprised we only have 14 participants at this point. Hopefully we will be getting a few more.

I'm fine with isotropic's point counter, but I'd rather not have the card tracking extension.

I want to be in.  May have to duck out schedule doesn't work, are there more details on schedule than just starting on saturday? (Like length, when games need to be played).

I am not sure how large the tourny will be, that depends on how many sign up. I would like to avoid having bye rounds, but we may have them...

The round lengths will be at least 7 days long, perhaps 5 days. The is another thread out saying that iso will shut down september 14th. I don't know if that has been verified, but if it is, I will try to compress the schedule to fit into that timeframe.

Find rules here (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=3848.0) for the tournament.

We are currently at 29 participants. The next three are guaranteed to be in. After that you can sign up for a replacement slot.

So morale of the story: sign up now instead of later :)

And I think I am going to modify and have the tournament start on Friday. Is that going to make anyone go crazy?

If RisingJaguar is still in that should be 32.  Any additional players at this point will be used as replacements as I don't think we will get 32 more in the next 12 hours...

Grujah, DIonized lashof and Mergus... I can't find your rank on the iso leader board and unfortunately councilroom seems to be down. As such I can't get your rank.

If you guys would like you can play a game on iso today, that should trigger your rank to reappear on the leader board and I can input it tomorrow morning, otherwise you will be at the bottom in terms of seeding.

Grujah is SpajderJerusalem on iso. I found him.

I am going on vacation from next monday to monday, so I guess I am out.  Probably easier to just have someone else take my place. So I'm out.

I know it's after the deadline, but if you are desperate to fill that spot still, I will take it.

As a reminder you all have until 10 a.m. forum time Sunday to contact your opponent.
After that time post here or PM me if you have not received contact with your opponent. Provide times that you are able to play and I will seek a replacement that can coordinate with your schedule.

In the even of neither contacting each other. Both will forfeit and their next opponent will simply receive a bye. But hopefully it won't come to that.
