Great! Should be sticked and moved to the articles forum.Thx for the feedback. Will edit shortly.
I don't know if you're still editing, but I've got a few suggestions:
1.) Add Links to the articles to the main site blog
2.) Make those links bold and group all the links under expansion.
3.) Then sort the cards under each expansion by name.
4.) If a card has 2 or more links put them in one line (no matter if it's the same article - but links to the forum and blog - or if they are two different articles)
....
5.) Trader, Oracle belong to Hinterlands and Young With to Cornucopia
Maybe some new card will have fantastic combo possibilities with Counting House that haven't already been covered.
This will involve a lot of technical stuff that both rrenaud and I will agree is necessary, and both rrenaud and I imagine that the other will do it, and it never really happens for a while.Mamihlapinatapai?
Do you still want to update it, or should I (or some other volunteer) do it?I can do it. Might need a backup, though.
hi, do you think you might add theory´s article about cellar? -->Arrrggg yes! I need to update this
http://dominionstrategy.com/2010/11/15/cellar/
Thanks :)
On the one hand I'd love to continually update old articles. On the other, that's completely impractical.
What this site needs eventually is a wiki. This will involve a lot of technical stuff that both rrenaud and I will agree is necessary, and both rrenaud and I imagine that the other will do it, and it never really happens for a while. But I think we have evolved to the point where a wiki would be very helpful for the community. Until then, we will just manage as-is.
Just use wikia.
Maybe this list should be updated to include Dark Ages cards, yes? :)I don't think Morgrim's around anymore to update it. :(

I sometimes just scroll through the cards list, not looking for anything particular, just to find a card that has an article linked and I feel like learning more about it. Wiki is good when you know what exactly you're looking for.
pages have been created on the wiki to replace the lists here. anyone can edit and update the wiki, so it is probably the best location for a regularly updated list such as this. i copied and pasted from the posts on the forum, so the wiki is only current through those posts right now.lets just go with this

ok i decided to run with my idea and i've got a stub set up on the wiki now:
http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/List_of_Card_Articles
that was the information i felt was worth having in the sortable list. i'll start filling it further when i get the chance. the table might get a little long once all the articles are listed, but being able to sort should alleviate that somewhat.
This is really great and I really appreciate all the work you are doing here. However, do we need both the forum and blog postings listed? Could there instead be an additional column that lists whether or not that forum article has been posted on the blog since most blogposts (if not all - I haven't gone and read all the articles on the blog and forum to double check) are duplicates of forum posts. A column for "posted on blog" with a hyperlinked "yes" might clean up the page a bit, especially when large amounts of articles are up.
edit: to avoid any possible ambiguity, I was referring to this: http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/List_of_Card_Articles

yeah i waffled for a little bit on that. i ended up including it for a few reasons
- the articles are often edited/improved when featured on the blog
- the blog will often have its own comment and discussion section
- not all articles were put on the blog immediately, allowing time for other discussion or possibly other expansions
- last and not least, it seemed the thorough way to do it. if you are going to have a detailed list you might as well do it well.
of course, that is just my reasoning. no one should feel they have to adhere to that. any help filling in the blanks is welcome.
I think you misunderstood e. I think he was saying that you could have two columns: one for Forum links, one for Blog links. If the same article is posted both places, you link to both, but they're in the same row. (Or, at least this is how I'd do it if it isn't what e meant).
Another recommendation: The Qvist ranking isn't all that helpful when comparing cards with different costs, since, for example, the 15th best $5 cards is very good, where the 15th best $2 card is not. Maybe it would be more helpful if it said something like "Cellar.....13/20", indicating that there are 20 $2 cards.
Note that sorting is pretty bad for the format of date you use. May be worth changing to YEAR/MO/DA format.
When was the respect system implemented exactly? It would be good to note that date or to individually identify the "+0" articles that predate the system.
though it may not have the full details filled in, every card article referenced in this thread's OP now has a placeholder slot on the wiki page. i've also gone back and should have covered Dark Ages articles and other articles created since this thread went dormant. now that i have the bulk of the content in place i'll be in no rush to finish up, so a little help filling it out will be welcomed.
awesome, the page is just about done now. i should have guessed their was an easier way to generate that sort of list but i'm not much for programming. i just did incremental changes like a cave man.
your list made it super easy to fill out the rest, and if it wasn't for a few quirks (broken/bad links, uncredited posts, Dark Ages onward, etc.) it would have been sufficient on its own.
Should we do something about the fact that the OP has disappeared on us?
I could?Should we do something about the fact that the OP has disappeared on us?
You can make a new thread and maintain it

Apples. But really, I don't think theory or morgrim would have a problem with that. You can probably even copy/paste the work morgrim had done to a new thread. Maybe pm theory and morgrim just to confirm. But I haven't seen morgrim since he disappeared to run the f.ds insane asylum (http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=9878.0)

I already made one. No one has really used it.

Definitely would like the link to that again. I was just looking for the updated list.
Also, you update the wiki with the strategy articles, too, right? Is that still current?
