Title: Small Castle played from Trash

If you play Small Castle from the Trash (as the second playing with Throne Room, after trashing it in the first), can or can you you not choose the "Trash this" option (for no effect, just assume you want to get rid of cards in your hand)?

I think yes. A lot of card FAQs say you can choose an option even if you can't do it. See Torturer where you can choose to gain a Curse even if the pile is empty.

Though the phrasing isn't "choose one," it's a choice, and you can pick an option you can't do and then fail to do it.
