Title: Play all your cards
Post by: ednever on January 03, 2019, 11:49:18 am
An idea I had while out for a run yesterday. Something like this:
'
$5
You may play any number of action cards that do not use "+cards" in their text

Or
$5
Set aside any number of cards from your hand
Play them one by one until all have been played

I was thinking about some version of Black Market or Storyteller but for actions.

Would something like that work?

Too cheap?

I'm sure I've seen this one discussed previously.... found something similar: http://forum.dominionstrategy.com/index.php?topic=16782.msg667815#msg667815

I think it's quite weak. It's a weaker version of a card that basically says "+4 actions"; which I don't think would be worth (http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/images/thumb/7/7d/Coin5.png/16px-Coin5.png).

Usually fairly weak, broken with Scrying Pool.

Something that could be interesting (I think an idea that's been around for a while)

Variety Hour
Action - $2
+1 Card
Set aside any number of differently named Actions, then play them in any order.

I think this version would be stronger than Village more often than not... should probably cost (http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/images/thumb/3/32/Coin3.png/16px-Coin3.png), maybe even (http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/images/thumb/2/2a/Coin4.png/16px-Coin4.png).

I remember one issue discussed with this idea in the past, is that you end up with multiple "set-aside" areas if you stack them. Golem avoids this by not stacking.

Fair enough, "Reveal your hand, +1 Action per differently named Action Card you reveal" would do the trick fine at any rate. +1 Villager if the tracking really is too hard.

A couple years ago, I created a card called Mayor that was +1 Card, set aside any number of Action cards from your hand and play them in any order, for $5. It was way too weak.
