Title: Kings court with Distand Land
Post by: TP on December 22, 2018, 01:42:49 pm
Hi,

My apologies if this has been answered in the past. If Kings Court is played with Distant Land I assume that would equate to 12 points on the mat?  Assuming that is true I guess one just needs to remember there is additional 8 points to add up at the end as there would be just the one card on the mat.
Thanks in advance.

That is actually not correct.  King's Court only makes you play a card three times, so all that happens is that you execute "Put this on your tavern mat" three times.  The stuff below the line is not affected by King's Court.

It's like the ancient question of playing Throne Room + Goons. You play the card twice. That means you do the stuff above the line twice, but not the stuff below the line. So you only get 1 VP token when you buy a card.
