Renaissance name BINGO!
First time trying to start something like this, so please bear with me. ;D
Rules
1. Create a Bingo board with 3x3 fields like the one below, and fill it with names you think might end up in Renaissance as the names of card-shaped things.
2. Post it in this thread.
3. When one of the names is revealed, strike the name. Do not edit your original post! Instead, copy it and strike the name in a new reply.
4. Plurals and Singulars of the same noun count as the same name.
5. The first player to strike three in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line AND post "BINGO!" in this thread wins. No winning without posting, posting serves as a tie-breaker.
6. Playtesters and others who know the card names are allowed to post in this thread, but should try not to spoil the game.
PS: I realize real Bingo is 5x5, but I felt the chances are slim that anybody will win that way.
I'll go first:
Theatre | Patron | Scribe
------------------------
Replica | Scientist | Opera
------------------------
Statue| Backup | Student
Edit (for future reference):
7. Posting a board containing already revealed names is cheating. Duh.
8. Like plurals, competing spellings of cards are considered the same name, as long as they are pronounced the same.
9. If, after all cards have been revealed, no player has actual Bingo, everybody who has 2 names in a line can win by posting "Almost BINGO!".

Mountain Village | Priest | Seer

Scholar | Experiment | Artist
BINGO!
What do I win?
-
My fault for not seing this coming.

DQ due to missing rules 3 and 5 ;D

Are you out of luck if it's spelled "Theater" instead?

What do you know that I don't?
Seriously though, I guess not? If we allow plural/singular, then I think different spellings should also count.
-
What do you know that I don't?
...that both Donald X. and Rio Grande Games are American?

I was sure to have read that Dominion's usage of "Traveller" over "Traveler" was old (British) English, and decided for to invoke an old-timey feel. Of course a type isn't a card name, but it suffices for me to let both count.
My question was mostly because I assumed from that post that a "Theater" card had been revealed without me knowing.

Interesting, because I assumed that you were making a clever joke.

Love this idea.

There's Cathedral and Swashbuckler from Joshua Stewart's site, but I feel like it's not fun if I don't come up with my guesses on my own.

Well, it's on the wiki page (http://wiki.dominionstrategy.com/index.php/Traveller#Spelling), so it must be true.
I didn't spot that one, because I'm British and we still spell "traveller" that way. Unlike the far more common "theater"/"theatre", I'd never noticed the USA spelled it differently. (Conversely, "spelt" does feel archaic to me here in the UK. Unless you're talking about the grain, of course.)

In that case, of course. What you said.

Eh, low odds of guessing much, but might as well :)
Architect | Magnum Opus | Senate |
Painter | Cathedral | Fresco |
Astronomer | Academy | Astrolabe |
Other possible words: surgeon, mathematician, physicist, levy, army, navy, patron, city-state, constitution, lawyer, contraption, investor, revolution, citadel, prison, sovereign
We will see how many I guessed.

Poet Gallery Architect
Composer Inventor General
Theater Pioneer Cathedral
(Yes, I copied a few ideas, but at least I moved their positions. Of course, we should've started this on Sunday.)
I hope I don't win because several of these are names of fan cards I like.
-
Printing Press / Musketeer / Cannon
Blast Furnace / Patent / Artillery
Clocktower / Cardinal / Blueprints

Alright! Yeah! Ok let me take a stab at this baby! I’m in it to win it! I think I got a nack for this kind of guessing so here we go.
King Vaccarino | Your Mother | Dumbledore
—————-
Morbidly Obese Ninja | The cast of cheers | The Nay Nay
—————-
Knights of Ni | Those Bomb ass tacos at the taco truck | The 1996 Olympics in Atlanta
Sit back and watch that bingo roll right my way guys! I got this!
-
Umadin, you are disqualified for editing your guess.
Also, I really doubt that "Your mother" will become a Dominion card name. There's not enough ink to print her picture.
-
Your Mother: Action, $0
+1 Coffer in the previous Night phase.
-
From today’s previews, I feel like I should have guessed Ducat. I would have never guessed Villain, and I would have rejected Silk Merchant based on the fact that we already have Silk Road and a bunch of merchants, though in hindsight I guess the namespace is pretty cramped already.

Yeah I'm kinda banking on that for my card:
Silk Market Wine Road Grant Merchant
Market Ship Merchant Square Market Guild
Farmer's Merchant Spice Market Merchant Market
-
Grand* Merchant, DAMMIT. Asper I want credit for that when it comes up.
-
Man, flag is another one that I should have seen coming.
In other name-density news, we now got Treasure Chest to go with Treasure Map, and Treasurer to go with Treasury.
Maybe the next Dominion expansion is Dominion: In Space, to avoid this problem.

Grant Merchant is for the upcoming Dominion: Academia expansion!
-
Maybe the next Dominion expansion is Dominion: In Space, to avoid this problem.
Space Merchant is the best card in the expansion.

Space Merchant is the best card in the expansion.
I thought that distinction went to Market Space.

Looking forward to Star Port, Mars Colony, Moon Rocks, and Space Explorer.

Space Explorer, Action, 5$
Gain an Uranium to your hand. You may reveal a Space Station from your hand to make it go Boom.
-
Uranium ought to be the negative counterpart to Treasure Map.
Maybe give the cards luminous green backs so other players can spot them, then:
Uranium, Treasure, worth $7. If you ever have two Uraniums in your hand at once, your turn ends and you trash your entire deck.
-
Kudos to pacovf for the only predicted preview name, Citadel (albeit not in the bingo board)
-
Man,and I didn’t say Sewers because I thought it was in Empires (I don’t have that expansion).
Now we wait for the full card list!
-
Uranium
Treasure - $20
Worth $10*2^(-n/4.5 billion), where n is the number of turns since the start of the game.
-
Grand* Merchant, DAMMIT. Asper I want credit for that when it comes up.
I'll allow it.

Yay, I hit one. Also, looks like I have to rename two of my events and one edict. Could be worse.

*assuming those leaked names were real
They did look pretty legit though.

I'm trying to verify them right now.
Edit: Verified. They are real.

I got the closest to winning.

And Poet was the name of a playtested card that didn't make it (also Architect, and, for crlundy, Investment).
-
Rule 7: Once all cards are revealed, if nobody has actual Bingo, the person closest to getting actual Bingo wins if they post "Almost BINGO".
Rule 8: Revealed cards that were playtested but didn't make it can serve as tiebreakers if revealed early enough.
Just for the future.

I am surprised painter and architect didn’t make it. Hey, almost bingo too, I guess.
-
We have a winner!
Or two.
I probably shouldn't have introduced two tiebreaker rules, because now I am confused which takes precedence. So you guys will have to share the glory. Sorry. But have no worries, as we can ultimately settle this with the next expansion.
When it's time again for...
Dominion name BINGO!

Belated almost Bingo; I put too many eggs in the art basket. And now we speculate what we can from the card names!
