Hello everyone!
The League is run by a team of volunteer moderators, and we're losing two of our number for the coming season due to life circumstances. You know, silly things like having a baby. :P So we need your help! Here's what we do as moderators:
- Set up the season: Make decisions about tier cutoffs, late signups, free promotions.
- Welcome new players: Confirm their signups and answer their questions.
- Be there when things go wrong: Each moderator is responsible for following a number of divisions (this was 6 divisions each in season 27), prodding players to play their matches, and responding to any situations that arise between the players.
If everything in your divisions works as intended, moderators don't have to do anything after the season starts! Of course, that doesn't actually happen; there's always something that comes up. But still, the workload is pretty light and mainly just requires you to respond promptly.
We prefer new moderators to have at least two seasons' experience in the League, and to be in frequent contact on Discord and via forum PMs. Fluency in languages besides English is a plus, particularly French, Chinese, and Japanese, as we try to expand the League's accessibility to those with weaker English skills.
