Title: Is Boons/Hex discard pile hidden?

I guess it's going to be in the rules, but if I'm lucky I can get the answer now. Can you look through the Boons and Hex discard piles?

No, just at the top of the discard pile. As always feel free to play whatever variants you and your friends agree on.
