I know there's already an old thread about this in general discussion but I thought I'd repost it since the group has been pretty inactive and could use some new blood. Besides, I've got a ton of co-op/multiplayer games and not a lot of people to play them with! :'(

Does one need an external invite to join the group? I can't seem to figure out how to add myself.

I'm not sure, Drab is the admin but doesn't post on the forums anymore. Try sending him a message through Steam. Maybe we can get him back on the forums!

I only play Civ 6, card games, and farming simulators.
I just got Civ 3 and 4 from a Humble Bundle. Are they worth it? I never really spent time in any Civ games.

Civ 4 is one of the best 4X games there are. It has quite the learning curve though. The way warfare works hasn't aged as well as the other mechanics, but at least the AI has a reasonable grasp of it.
Lately I mostly play games that were on an indie bundle.

For me, Civ4 no expansions is lots of fun, maybe my favourite even, but felt a bit lacking in content and mechanics. Civ4: Beyond the Sword was rife with neat mechanics and content, but the AI would only ever fight through massive deathball stacks. This made the game extremely frustrating for me, especially when two nations were at war with me. Originally, AI would attack with pockets of units coming from different angles, pillaging your stuff when they could. That was cool.
I have not played Civ5 and Civ6, though I did briefly play Civ: Beyond Earth which used the Civ5 engine.

Civ6 is quite awesome, but right now I'm too damn hooked on Kerbal Space Program.

I just got Civ 3 and 4 from a Humble Bundle. Are they worth it? I never really spent time in any Civ games.
Civ 3 is old and bleh and I have zero interest in trying to figure it out. Attempted one game, couldn't figure out what was going on.
Civ 4 is pretty sweet, but 5 and 6 are both better now.

The problem with 5 and 6 is that the AI does not know how to wage war, otherwise yeah, they are probably better overall (though most Wonders are kind of meh).
