Title: Turn order
Post by: majiponi on February 13, 2017, 10:52:56 am
Many similar questions were asked, I guess, but I don't know which is the correct latest understanding.

Alice played a Possession. During the extra turn, she mistakenly told Bob to play Outpost. During Bob's Outpost turn, he played a Possession.

I thought the turn playing order is turn order, so the next turn is Bob's regular turn, which is followed by Alice's possessed turn. But on the Online Dominion, Alice's possessed turn first, then Bob's regular turn, in which he played an Outpost and a Possession, Bob's SECOND Outpost turn, in which he played a Possession, Alice's possessed turn, ...

Not only I but also my opponent thought this was a bug. Is it correct interpretation?

Possession says "extra turn after this turn".  So it follows the Outpost turn.  Extra turns happen before regular turns.

If Alice plays Possession, then tells Bob to play Outpost, who plays a Possession during the Outpost turn, it should go like this:

-Alice
-Bob [poss]
-Bob [out]
-Alice [poss]
-Bob

If Bob plays an Outpost during the Outpost turn, he should not get another turn, since the previous turn was his (though Possessed), and any extra turn he had would have precedence over Alice's Possessed turn.

Now if he played Outpost during his regular turn, he would get an Outpost turn, since the current turn was preceded by Alice's turn (while Possessed).
