Title: luser's cards
Post by: luser on February 13, 2017, 07:01:53 am
I will add cards as I will get ideas. So here are

Code: [Select]
haunted manor - action/victory 3$

+3$

Put two cards from your hand on top of your deck.

worth 1 vp

Then distant-lands style traveller line

Code: [Select]
booze action 4$

+3 cards +1 actions. During your cleanup phase return this and gain a maid.

Code: [Select]
maid - action/victory/traveller 5*

+2$

each other player reveals top card of his deck and could discard or return it on top of their deck.

during your clean-up phase you may choose to exchange this for brewery or put it into your tavern mat
---
worth 1vp when on tavern mat.

Code: [Select]
brewery - action/victory/traveller 6*

reveal top four cards from top of your deck. You may discard any of them, put victory card into your hand and return rest on top of your deck.

during your clean-up phase you may choose to exchange this for wine press or put it into your tavern mat or gain a booze.
---
worth 3vp when on tavern mat.

Code: [Select]
wine press action/victory/traveller 7*
Choose one:
You may a gold, put it on your hand or put this on your tavern mat.

---
worth 6vp when on tavern mat.

Forgot to make it 1vp as estate.

Haunted Manor is bad as Mandarin is one of the weakest cards in the game and only worthwhile for the on-gain effect.
A terminal Gold is probably somewhere between a 4 and a 5 and while topdecking one card is OK to nerf a card, topdecking two, self-Ghost-shipping yourself, just hurts yourself and is hardly ever worth the terminal Gold and 1 VP at the end of the game.

The Traveller line is interesting as it starts with a good quasi one-shot that you don't necessarily want early on.
I also like that if you feel that the game might end before you reach the end of the line you can cut it short and transform a card into Distant Lands style VPs.
The actual play effects could be a bit more innovative though. Maid is after all just Duchess. Brewery seems like a simple Scout variant but I like it as it interacts with the other cards in the Traveller line.

Wine Press. What period do I check gaining a Gold? This turn? Or from the beginning?

Huh? It's a normal Action, you hand-gain the Gold when you play the card.

Oh, so that means
If you didn't , gain a gold into your hand.
Right? I understand.
So, when I King's-Court this, I gain 2 Golds and 6 vp, right?

Correct. Same as any other "if you did" or "if you didn't" on other cards.

This card might be better worded as "Choose one: Gain a Gold to your hand or, put this on your Tavern Mat". It's exactly the same as the other wording, except in the case when all golds are gone.
